Rubenstein Supply Company was founded during the Great Depression by three brothers, Henry, Morris, and Bob Rubenstein. The Company got its start salvaging plumbing fixtures from their father's building demolition business. Native Oaklanders, they decided to stay local, and built a warehouse at 28th and San Pablo Ave.
