South-East Lumber Company was started in 1960 by owner/founder Clyde H. Brackett. At its inception, the Company brokered lumber products without a storage and distribution location. Within three years the Company's rapid success led to the necessary purchase of acreage in Burke County, NC where a second, sister corporation was established to provide for the storage and distribution of forest products
