Business Details
We have been crafting architectural stained and leaded glass for over a century, blending tradition with innovation. Our founders merged Oakbrook Studios of Oconomowoc and Esser Stained Glass of Milwaukee in 1986, combining 85 years of European craftsmanship with modern artistry. In 1987, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation selected us to reproduce the architect's iconic art glass windows, a testament to our precision and expertise. We specialize in custom design, restoration, preservation, and protective storm coverings for churches, corporate offices, universities, hospitals, and private residences. Our team collaborates closely with architects, contractors, and committee members to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
We conduct detailed needs assessments, glass selection, and seamless installation, reflecting each client's unique vision. Our 10,000squarefoot workshop and museumstyle gallery showcase the full glassmaking process, offering transparency and educational value. We are committed to excellence, dedicating our entire staff to client satisfaction and the enduring beauty of every piece. Our restoration work includes re-leading priceless historic windows and resizing existing glass for new spaces. We also provide educational tours and workshops for design committees and preservationists. Through meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering professionalism, we create stained glass that will be revered for generations.

Amazing Craftsmen. This is a large stained glass studio there are a lot of examples of their work of display and a huge studio full of so many glad options to choose from when you are starting your project. I was surprised by how reasonable the pricing was to have the window I envisioned custom made and they were wonderful to work with.

The depth of knowledge and skill to not only practice the art masterfully, but to maintain and run a buisness in the trade to the high standards held true by the owners/patrons themselves. Oakbrook Esser Studios surpasses expectations in quality and details of this traditional craft.
