As an interior and landscape designer I have often visited the yard and always found the staff there to be exceptionally knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Not one time has an order been messed-up. A very solid company, no pun intended.

A beautiful stone signage in Ashland WI caught my eye. The inquiries lead me to Great Lake Stone. I selected GLS because they offered me the ability to create a meaningful, dignified and personal memorial for my husband. Appointments were easy, on time & welcoming. GLS, Ryan spent time to understand my vision for the project. He listened, asked questions, offered suggestions & options. We were true partners in the design.
He asked for my approval on each major step. Changes, timelines, and costs were respectfully discussed and made. Ryan's eye for aesthetics resulted in a masterpiece. Thank you Ryan and your Great Lake Stone team members. Your commitment to excellence got the project done and exceeded my expectations.

This review is for the purchase of mulch, not their stone products. We opted to buy some mulch here because they are located close to our home. We had not purchased from them previously because their price was so high ($35/yd vs. $27 at Mac's), but we only needed half a yd to finish what we were doing, so decided to save some driving time. We should have stayed on the road. Half a yard of mulch is generally 8 of my wheelbarrows-full; the half yard we got from Great Lakes barely made 4.
I will probably have to go to Menards and buy some of their bagged mulch to make up the difference between what I got and what I needed, so should have just made the drive up Hwy 53 in the first place. Will not buy this type of product here again.

The guys at Great Lakes Stone worked closely with me to engrave a memorial stone, to place under a tree we planted for my parents. I brought my own rock from our lake property. They helped with suggestions on wording, placement etc, and showed me several options. They were so patient in helping me, and the end result of the engraving was perfect. Reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend this company!
