Our story begins in 1974. David Welch ventured from Arkansas to the Chicagoland area to fulfill his dream of operating his own construction business. He landed in Elgin, Illinois with nothing but a suitcase and a little bit of change in his pocket. He worked several jobs in order to afford a piece of land to begin building his business.
