I was really hoping to like this company. I did "walk in" order, about 1000 pieces of metric fasteners. Positives: - Staff was friendly - Order was ready relatively quickly - Customer care is great, company clearly cares Negatives: - You cannot order online and just pick it up. It is 2021, come on. - Got fasteners in sealed plastic bags. You have to cut them open and throw them away. It is waste, what about press-to-close baggies? - I paid 50% more than I would from McMaster.

With next day shipping. This one is deal breaker for me. If you cannot do bulk fasteners cheaper than boxed from McMaster, you are doing something wrong. So if you need fasteners right away and do not mind paying more, Olander is a great choice. If you can wait a day or two, you can save money by buying elsewhere. Edit: Adding extra star for their customer support.

Needed last minute assistance to repair my boat to meet a customer commitment with a family fishing charter. John went out of his way to find what I needed, provided instructions for installation and arranged an after hour pick up to help me out. A rare and refreshing experience with a great company. Olander came highly recommended by a friend who owns a business manufacturing aircraft parts who uses Olander frequently.

Normally I loved doing business with them. Until the one time they got our order wrong. We returned the parts and got the correct ones. Then they charge us a restocking fee, and it's like I'm pretty sure we had placed the order correctly, and even if we hadn't, we gave them right back to you. And we order from you pretty consistently. Why do we need to pay this restocking fee. They essentially wouldn't budge, so they lost a customer today.

What a great place. Needed a 'weird' nut/bolt combo and was really concerned that I wasn't going to be able to complete a project.when I was referred to the Olander Company. Not only did they have what I was in need of, they had so much more. There is a min order - I forget what it was, the min was super reasonable. I think I ended up procuring a handful extras, and glad I did (what a weight lifted off my head.)

Great service & selection for most all hardware needs. However, when I need special metric size fasteners I always end up going to a different supplier.
