Services
Custom Deck Building
We design and install custom decks using premium materials like cedar, Trex composite, and Ipe. Our process begins with a free consultation to understand your vision, followed by detailed design and permitting assistance. With over 35 years of experience, we ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal tailored to Michigan's climate. Each project includes a five-year workmanship guarantee.
Composite Decking
Our Trex composite decking solutions combine durability with low maintenance. As TrexPro Platinum Contractors, we offer advanced installation techniques for fade-resistant, splinter-free decks. This material mimics natural wood grain while resisting weather damage, making it ideal for high-traffic outdoor spaces in Southeast Michigan.
Gazebos
We build custom gazebos to enhance your backyard oasis. Using materials like cedar and composite, our structures provide shade and elegance. Each gazebo is designed to complement your home's architecture, with options for lighting, flooring, and integrated seating for year-round enjoyment.
Pergolas
Our pergolas add architectural interest to patios and gardens. Constructed from durable cedar or composite, they feature adjustable louvers for light control. Perfect for creating shaded dining or lounging areas, our designs balance functionality with artistic craftsmanship to elevate your outdoor living space.
Trex RainEscape Drainage
Trex RainEscape systems protect your outdoor space by channeling water away from lower-level decks. We install this innovative solution beneath decking boards to prevent water damage, ensuring dry, usable space below. This system extends the lifespan of your deck while maintaining a clean, seamless appearance.

We're in the process of having CedarWorks install a second deck and gazebo at our home. Even though the work isn't done yet, the same quality build is in process and we know Jamie and his team will deliver an outstanding build! Our township building code official has made 2 inspections so far and said "you've got a great deck builder"! High praise from someone who sees many. We highly recommend CedarWorks for your home improvement project!

Cedar Works was amazing to work with. You won't get better quality products or installation. Jamie and his staff were always responsive and kept us in the know of what was happening when. Plus once the job was started, they made it a priority to get it done as quickly as possible without a hitch. Highly recommend!

We requested bids from two deck builders who had excellent reviews at online sites. We chose Cedar Works because they were more responsive and quoted a lower price. They replaced a 40 year old deck with a more functional and beautiful design using Trex and a cedar privacy wall within the same footprint. Everyone from Cedar Works, from the sales rep to the installers and follow-up people were friendly and knowledgeable. The owner visited twice to make sure we satisfied. I would highly recommend this company.

We planned to put new deck boards over our existing deck structure this summer and discovered an unusable structure upon pulling up the existing boards. A full deck build is well outside the scope of our capabilities so we threw in the towel and started calling around for deck quotes. Cedar Works responded more quickly to our initial inquiry than anyone else and had a quote for us soon after. They gave us a few ideas for the style/shape and we ultimately wound up pretty close to our original vision.
It turned out even better than I imagined! They also started the project two weeks earlier than anticipated and implemented a last minute change without issue. The communication throughout was timely and professional and the guys who did the deck build were awesome. I would recommend Cedar Works without hesitation.
