We inherited a propane Jotul fireplace insert originally installed by a company no longer in business, and wanted some changes made to it. Several fireplace companies turned me down as they were not the original installers and said I would need to buy a whole new insert in order for them to do any work. After some back and forth with Jesse and Dave, Rettinger agreed to do the work for a fair price, and was able to source additional parts for the fireplace with no problem. Installers Mitchell and Dante went above and beyond setting the insert back into our fireplace, brainstorming ideas of how to service the insert in the future, cleaning every single part and making it look basically brand new.
There was some miscommunication in the very beginning of the install, but Mitchell and Dante cheerfully completed the install to our satisfaction, despite having already completed work that they had to take apart. They both wore masks with no complaint upon our request for the entire time as well. We highly recommend Rettinger, and look forward to having Mitchell and Dante service the fireplace throughout the coming years.

I purchased a wood stove insert for my brick hearth fireplace and was extremely satisfied with everyone I dealt with at Rettinger from Mike & Brian in the office to Mitch and Chris who did the install. Mike took the time to answer all my questions, and I had a lot. Mitch and Chris did an awesome job on the install. This thing works great. Out of all the estimates I got, their price was the best. One company even told me it couldn't be done because of the small shape and taper of my brick fireplace. Thank you very much Rettinger, this stove heats my whole house, which is a 3 bedroom rancher, no problem.

My husband I are very disappointed and dissatisfied with our experience with Rettinger fireplace. First off, I've had to initiate the contact continuously with them for updates. We are converting our wood burning fireplace to gas and we went into the showroom in a October 2020 and gave Lee 1/2 deposit for the fireplace we selected. We were told mid-November 2020 that the manufacturer had our parts on back order due to COVID/ high demand, which we understand, however nobody from Rettinger called us with updates on the status of our order coming in.
I had to call 4 x to find put the status. Finally found out after I called that parts were coming in end of January 2021 scheduled our install for this morning February 15th from 8am-10am then receive a text message at 8:04am saying they can't install because of snow/ice on roof I'm assuming now we'll have to wait another month in a half before they can come out to install when this process was all started 4 months ago!

Cannot praise the Technician "Craig" for putting our fireplace logs in tip top shape again. Craig was professional and immaculate taking great pains to restore the ceramic logs back to their original condition. I would highly recommend Rettinger's Fireplace Co.
