Even though I do business at Eldredge about once a week because they're close by, I can't stand the place. I've known several employees there over the years, and none of them were treated very well. Not all, but a number of the employees I've dealt with seem pretty full of themselves. It's almost like you're privileged to be able to enter their store. Same story for both the Kittery and York locations. Home Depot may not have some of the specialty items that Eldredge has, but I'd rather go there any day.

Stopped in to get 3 items on my list that I have gotten there before and they only had 1 of the items. The other 2 items they no longer carry (plastic ball jars, copper oven mat liners) I love supporting local but the prices vs quality have just gone downhill. The only reason why I gave 3 stars is because the associate helping us look for the items was dedicated to solving the mystery of those items not being available anymore at this location.
