Merlex Stucco Inc. was founded by my father, Merle VerBurg, in 1963. He had no money but he did have courage and the experience to make the best quality stucco. He borrowed $25,000. He made his bones working for my grandfather's sand company in Southern California. The right sand is critical to manufacture perfect stucco.

We began as a manufacturer of stucco and plaster finishes, and that is still the core of our business. Our founder, Merle VerBurg, was a demanding individual who insisted on providing the best product we could produce, pricing it competitively, and dealing fairly with our customers. Today, Merlex is still a family-owned company, and we still take pride in producing what we believe are the best stucco products on the market. We use only the finest ingredients available. Our color laboratory is exceptionally good at color matching.

The Merlex Add-A-Pak Base and Packaged Color Stucco system uses Color Units, pre-blended, pre-measured formulations of mineral oxide pigment which are individually packaged in 1 lb. Merlex Add-A-Pak Stucco System can achieve all the textures available using Merlex Color Coat Stucco. Merlex Add-A-Pak Stucco System will create an excellent bond to any properly prepared portland cement based surface.
