We are a sawmill with special expertise in custom cutting beams and timbers for your timber frame or other home improvement project including decorative beams and mantels. We can cut lengths up to 52 feet long in a wide variety of species native to Northeast Ohio. Other species including cherry, white oak, red oak, and more are available upon request as are custom dimensions.

This table will accurately estimate timbers with dimensions between 6"x6" - 12"x12" and lengths between 8 - 16 feet. To estimate timbers outside those ranges, please contact us. DESCRIPTION: Soft maple can be one of a number of different species of maple other than hard maple varieties. Therefore the color and grain varies but tends toward light brown with some pieces being cross-grained and/or colorful. In general, soft maple is easier to work, lighter in weight and density, and less strong compared to hard maple.
