Formerly known as New England Fishing Gear; New England Marine and Industrial (NEMI) originated on Badgers Island, Maine, as a small fishing gear store. The majority of our customers were commercial fishermen, lobster men and trap builders. Gradually, more products and a larger variety of product lines were added to our inventory. In 1984, the business was moved to Portsmouth, NH. The business has grown to be a leader in the commercial fishing industry on the northeast coast, as well as supplying products to new industrial markets.

We deliver by our own truck to the Maine coast, Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut and Massachusetts. We also will ship anywhere in the world via UPS ground or UPS air, weekdays only. Our trucks are in each delivery area once a week. Orders are taken over the phone, only. You may also fax your order form to begin the process. 200 Spaulding Turnpike The first store to open was on Badgers Island, which then moved to Portsmouth, NH., this is our main base of operation. We have the largest inventory here and deliver goods weekly from Rockland, ME to Stonington, CT.
