Chelsea Decorative Metal Company manufactures Tin Ceilings. This massive manufacturing machine stamps at 600 tons of pressure for a beautiful detailed stamping. The newer manufacturers stamp only 2' x 2' size sheets, while we are one of the few manufactures that stamp 2' x 4' sheets. Still easy to install, but has less seams.
Finishes
Report
The Factory Silver Finish is a shiny silver finish. It should be clear coated or painted with an oil-based paint. You can paint directly to it. To keep the metallic look if it's to shiny, you can paint it silver to give it a matte silver finish. Or paint it any color you wish. This Bright White finish makes the tin ceiling tiles look great.
Ceiling

3. Locate the center of the ceiling, strike a chalk line perpendicular to the ceiling beams. This insures that the furring will be nailed into the beams. Working out from this line, snap chalk lines at 12-inch intervals. Place the edge of the furring strip along each line and areas by inserting shims between the furring strips and the ceiling.
Backsplash
Report
Replacing the brown-and-gold wall tile in the original kitchen with a light-colored backsplash contributed significantly to lightening and updating the room, and because we used pressed tin rather than the usual ceramic tile, the backsplash is also an interesting decorating element. We ordered the tin (normally used on ceilings) by mail from Chelsea Decorative Metal Co.
