George Gaskin unknowingly began to pave the way for what was to become Capital Lumber Company. Surrounded by cotton fields on the corner of 35th Avenue and Buckeye, the first location carried lumber and all types of hardware. George Gaskin extends an offer to 26-year-old John Gaskin to come work for Capital Lumber.

We have locations across the Western United States providing essential products and services to lumber yards, home improvement centers, building materials dealers, and industrial customers. Our individual branches have the autonomy to customize programs to meet their customers' unique needs, from flexible delivery to a variety of purchasing options.

At Capital, we have a relationship-driven business full of individuals who work really hard and play really hard. We also happen to be in an industry that I personally find exciting - if we were selling encyclopedias, I probably wouldn't have come here in the first place. But what sets us apart from.

Capital's Chino distribution facility has been servicing Southern California from San Diego to Santa Barbara and Hawaii since 1980 through a twelve and a half acre, asphalt covered site with 80,000 square feet of covered storage. Capital Chino carries a large variety of finished lumber (Redwood, Cedar, SPF, Primed Fascia), commodity lumber (DF Timbers, EWP) & specialty building materials (Trex, LP SmartSide & Boral) to accommodate our customers' immediate needs and provide industry leading brand names.
