The Carter family has been proud to bring quality garage doors to the Des Moines area since 1953. Establishing Amega Garage Doors in 1986, the second generation would go on to become the first garage door and opener company in Des Moines to open a full-line showroom in 1990. In 2017, we moved to Johnston and built a brand new, larger showroom, where we can provide the best products and customer service.

When Dwayne Carter started out in the garage door industry, he was just a kid. He's grown up in around garage doors and openers, so he knows them like the back of his hand. For decades, he's watched the industry grow, change, and innovate. He's also brought his family along with him. For Dwayne and his wife, Pam, customers are always top-of-mind.
