Since 1958, Bernard Building Center has been building trusting relationships with builders, homeowners, and the community. Customer service, quality products, the largest inventory in N.E. Michigan, top national brands, and reliability are the foundation that we have built our company on. In 1958, my parents opened a small window shop called Bernard Woodworking.

They were the only two employees, with me and my sister Debbie running underfoot. Soon, both the business and our family expanded, and we began the journey that led to the Lumberyard and Home Center that we are today.
