Home Insulation Contractors Incorporated was established in 1969 by M. "Jake" Fitzgerald. Jake's main focus was always customer satisfaction. Jake wanted to make the customer happy through good, thorough service. In 1986, Mr. Fitzgerald semi-retired and Dan Fitzgerald became the new and current superintendent.

Dan started working for Home Insulation part time in the Summers of 1970 and 1971. He then began full time as an insulation installer in June of 1972. Dan worked as an installer until June of 1978, when he became a salesman. In June of 1980, Jake promoted Dan to Superintendent and he started to take over the daily duties of managing the crews and scheduling work.
