If delivering to our Cortland, NY location, you are welcome to arrive before we open, as early as 6:30 AM. Clarence Ochs founded Bestway as a small retail lumber yard in Marcellus, New York. A few years later, the company relocated to Cortland, New York and began manufacturing pressure-treated lumber for sale to its retail customers. In 1978, Clarence's son Karl launched Bestway's wholesale distribution business, which thrives to this day, providing treated lumber and other building materials to retail lumber yards and home centers across New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire.

Bestway offers a full line of building products including southern yellow pine, eastern white pine, Southern One framing lumber, PVC decking, and fiber-glass insulation. Our growing flatbed fleet and conveniently located facilities allow us to deliver building materials throughout the Northeast on short notice and in LTL quantities.
