Business Details
We have been a family-owned business since 1976, serving Janesville with pride and dedication. Our journey began with Ron Slavin, who founded Cabinet Country with a vision to provide quality cabinetry and exceptional service. Over the past 50 years, we have grown from a small showroom on S River St to a 5000-square-foot space offering a wide range of materials and design support. In 2014, Tessa Dongarra took over, continuing the tradition of excellence her father started. Our team of four works closely with every client, ensuring personalized attention from start to finish. We specialize in creating beautiful, functional spaces, whether its a kitchen remodel, bathroom upgrade, or flooring installation.
Our showroom features semi to fully custom cabinetry, a variety of countertops, and flooring options like hardwood, luxury vinyl, and tile. We offer free estimates and flexible service options, from DIY material supply to full project management. Our expertise covers everything from countertop measurements to complete home builds, including kitchens, bathrooms, and more. We are committed to making your vision a reality with quality products and professional service. Every client is treated like family, and we strive to exceed expectations in every project we undertake.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness We were working with Becca. She came out and measured. I called two months ago with some updates and a new quote. No return calls and no new quote. Going with Marling Lumber. Their follow through is much better.

I had my first appointment with Becka on October 27th. We talked about what we had in mind for my dream kitchen. I gave her the design I had in mind (my own drawing) and then she came to my home on November 3rd to take measurements. Here I am 7 weeks later and still waiting for a full detailed quote. Seven weeks to get a quote? It's absurd! Definitely NOT recommended.totally a waste of time. I will take my business somewhere else where I feel I'm getting the attention and professionalism that I deserve.

We are waiting on our quote for cabinets for our basement wet bar but Tess was awesome to work with! She was super quick with measurements and had great suggestions for us. She answered all of our questions. We had great service.

Stopped in to get ideas and pricing for a kitchen remodel. They have a very nice showroom, and they had everything we wanted to look at. Looking forward to getting the pricing and working with them. Very professional.
