Parton Lumber Company was founded by Verno Parton in 1948, nearly a century after his family first settled in Rutherford, NC and established itself in the wood industry. Three generations since its first customer, Parton Lumber remains a staple of Appalachian lumber production and is now owned and operated by grandsons Furman and Patrick Parton.
