Services
Heidi Whitcomb is the second generation of Ventura Rental and has been in the events industry and rental business since the mid 1980's. Heidi's breadth of knowledge from an event rental perspective is immense having designed and coordinated thousands of events from intimate family gatherings to corporate events with 8,000 guests in attendance.
Ventura Rental Party & Events is a proud, locally owned family corporation serving Ventura, Los Angeles, Santa Ynez, and Santa Barbara Counties for over 40 years, This third generation business came into existence when owner Ron Holley moved his family from Modesto to Ventura to purchase a small homeowner and construction rental business originally founded in 1958 followed by expansion to four locations inclusive of two construction and general tool rental stores and a repair shop. In the early 1980s the company added the special events division known as Ventura Rental Party & Events.
Showroom/office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, except for major holidays. We do not take walk-ins. Please call us, (805) 644-4496, to schedule a Showroom appointment. Business hours for deliveries and pick ups are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
We will thoughtfully consider your request and reach out within the week. Authorization to charge credit card. 50% due upon reservation (or 6 months prior to event) with balance due 5 days prior to delivery.

This was my first time ordering / working with Ventura Rental. All of the items I ordered came beat up, dirty, white chairs with black marker all over them, they were in terrible condition. I placed my order almost 3 months prior to my event. I got a confirmation the day before my event and it was incorrect. I was told I would get delivery through email - by the manager - and then the day BEFORE my event was told delivery was unavailable.

I arranged for someone to pick up the order. The order given to us was incorrect, even though it had been confirmed the day before. They offered to have a staff member bring / deliver the missing items to me. The rep who arrived blocked the main entrance to my event with their truck. She honked and yelled at the pedestrians in her way, she was yelling at the top of her lungs for them to get out of her way.

She kept her hand on the horn for what felt like minutes. It was beyond unprofessional. When we returned the items. No one helped us unload. No one greeted us. Will not be using again. The staff was rude, trashy, and unprofessional.

We rented tables, chairs and a bar. Everything was great. The guys at the warehouse were so nice when we returned the rentals. The bar was the best and a huge hit at the party!

All I can say is that Ventura Rental is a very reliable partner in every deal that we do. They work around the budget. Prepared with solutions whenever we throw cases for action/suggestions. We start clean and we end clean with every project. Great, smart people.

From the very beginning, from the inquiry process all the way to the final pick up, it was a excellent experience. We live in LA, and our event was in Ojai, so communication was super important to me. Our event consultant was Nicole and she was very communicative and extremely helpful. And she got back to me with all my millions of questions in such a timely manner!

The entire logistical process was easy and the delivery men were so kind and efficient. In terms of the actual furniture, we got sooo many compliments on them. Will absolutely use them again if I have another event in the area.

Ventura Rental is an absolutely wonderful group to work with. We had an outdoor venue that was slightly unconventional and they came up with a range of great options for our event. They were very accommodating to our budget needs and we would absolutely work with them again for future events.

I had to postpone then cancel my wedding in Ojai due to the pandemic. Ventura Party Rental was wonderful and helpful pre-pandemic, and their grace continued though the pandemic. They have been nothing but sweet and helpful. We will definitely use them for any event we have in the future! Thank you Ventura Rental!

After booking our wedding in the Santa Ynez valley, I knew I wanted to utilize a vendor close to our venue but also our home. After researching my options and comparing prices and availability, I decided to go with Ventura Rental. Nicole helped me to obtain items which fit perfectly with my wedding day, and that were well within my budget. This company not only kept my busy schedule in mind when coordinating delivery and pickup, but even checked in the weekend of, to make sure the plans went accordingly and that everything was smooth sailing. Ventura Rental made the experience very personal and I really enjoyed using a local vendor that had my best interest in mind! Nicole was seriously amazing, from the help with napkin color & material, quantity of glassed needed and even a last minute cake stand recommendation, she was a gem! I could not recommend this place enough! Thank you!

From start to finish, working with Ventura Rental for our wedding was a pleasure! Long-distance wedding planning is not an easy task but Celine was absolutely wonderful in guiding me through my selections and had saint-like patience dealing with the many times I changed my mind and requested various quotes. Everything went off without a hitch and I know that wouldn't have been possible without their dedication to organization and professionalism!

Ventura Rentals came to the rescue at the last minute on Saturday! Party Pleasers completely got my order wrong and did nothing to fix it, other than saying they would charge me $250.00 to correct they're mistake. Ventura Rentals charged $65.00 for the same item and in 5 minutes were able to tell me it was available and saved the day! They were so happy to help and very professional. Thank you so much!

I rented from them for my wedding. They were actually wonderful and very professional. However, I made the mistake of thinking I would be able to deliver the tables and chairs back the Monday after my wedding before taking off for my honey moon. Things happened but long story short, I was unable to deliver until Tuesday (my dad's next day off) and they had nobody to pick up the tables and chairs. Ventura Rentals wanted to charge me for two extra days rental. They were either unable or unwilling to help me out. I own my mistake, just wish they would've been a little more flexible.

Ventura Rental was fantastic. The drop-off and set-up took longer than anticipated (through no fault of Ventura Rental) and happened in terrible weather, but the team was very friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Everything rented was in great condition and looked fantastic. Ventura Rental was easy to communicate with and a joy to work with.

Ventura Rental Pary and Events helped by providing almost EVERYTHING for my wedding. Including tables, chairs, heaters, plates, silverware & glassware. We used Ventura Party Rentals for our wedding and they did a fantastic job. They were incredibly easy to work with and we managed to pick out everything in one day. They had tons of different choices of pretty much everything you could imagine, and then some! The set up was perfect and they really were a joy to work with. Very flexible and easy as well as beautiful! I would use them again in a heart beat!

We rented votive candle holders for our wedding reception. Come to find out, the votives holders were several different types and colors. We booked silver chevron holders and ended up with both white and several different kinds of silver holders. They did provide the candles for the holders which was a nice touch.

We used Ventura Rental Party Center for a party we had here at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. They had impeccable service from the moment I called to make an order all the way to when they struck everything. The manager was helpful and available whenever we needed her. The men who came to set up were also great to work with and did an excellent job. Our client loved the way the decor turned out. I really want to thank Heidi and her staff @ VPR for there services and effort. My sisters wedding was outdoors and at the last minute the forecast showed rain. The venue would not allow a party tent unless there was a permit from LAFD. After calling a number of places they all said the same thing it takes two weeks to get a permit from LAFD. When I called VPR Heidi warned me about the permit for Los Angeles county, However she tried anyways unlike the other places.

This was a day before the wedding it was crazy. Not only was VPR able to get the permit they had plenty of options to ensure a beautiful outdoor wedding. Thank you so much Heidi and her staff.

Heidi and the Girls at VR were very helpful. Lots of different ideas and everything worked out great. The issue we had was when we would go in we told them to email us our updates and give us a quote. Nothing happen until a month prior to the wedding. The email they were sending the information to us was not us. It wasn't until we did the vendor walk through that we found out they had the wrong email.

I tried to correct the email issue prior to the vendor walk though but they said they would fix it. We were also told we could do a things at the wedding but then when the property manager found out she was very in happy. We were caught in the middle.

What a pleasure to deal with Shanon at Ventura Rentals. She was accommodating and paid attention to every question and detail. When we hit a few snags (the venue misplaced the items that were to be picked up--yikes!) Ventura Rentals patiently waited for us to locate the items and came back out to get them. I know this had to have created a wrinkle in their day, but I never heard a complaint. Thank you for being so understanding and we will definitely use your services again.

We have used Ventura Rental twice in 3 years for delivery of tables, chairs, and umbrellas. On both occasions communication with them was clear and concise with email confirmation on last minute changes requested by us. We will use again next year.

I rented everything for my 2014 wedding from here, and it was such a great experience. Being from out of town, I stopped by the showroom and essentially had only that one day to pick everything out. The girl on the floor (wish I remembered her name) was so patient with me and my elderly grandmother picking everything out. She staged a table for me so I could get a visual as to how everything would look.

I was most excited about the gorgeous wood carved chargers, they were a bit more pricy than the regulars, but I had to have them! Without Ventura Party Rental my wedding would not have been as lovely as it was, everything arrived on time and went smoothly. Thank you!
