Trowel Trades Supply was incorporated in 1968 and began as a masonry yard servicing the needs of the residential fireplace mason. It was quickly discovered that other product lines would need to be added to bolster the lag in masonry sales activities during the cold winter months in Vermont.

Calcium silicate masonry units (man-made sandstone) are available in the following product types: 1) Full-bed blocks (Renaissance Stone units) that are very similar in appearance and physical properties to Indiana limestone and sandstone, with sizes of 4x4x24, 4x8x24 and 4x12x24; 2) building stone (Citadel, Old Mill and Laurier) offer excellent economy for two and three-height ashlar patterns; these building stone units, laid on a bearing shelf, are installed for less than the price of stick-on stone with the guarantee the material will never fall off the building; and 3) tile (ArrisTile), Renaissance Stone units for interior applications that can be adhered to any substrate to give the look of full-bed, limestone blocks, great for remodeling and retrofit projects.
