I purchased appliances here and they were in stocks and reasonably priced. The salesperson had excellent customer service and was so patient with me.

Excellent professional counter services and building product selection you cannot find anywhere else in the area.

For every need you may have, this is where you go. It is family owned and the people who work there KNOW what you need and can help with problems you can have in home repair. Box stores do not attend to you like this. I have been going here for over a decade for EVERYTHING I need. They know what they are talking about, are friendly and attentive.

Not many stores left with staff that have actual knowledge of their dept. I have never left Corning Building Company without exactly what I need and few things I had no idea I needed. Absolutely can not get better service.

Place was great, ordered that material I needed and didn't have to buy a whole pallet of it.

After receiving an excuse about slow and unpredictable delivery from a big box, CBC had the appliance I needed in stock and was able to deliver in a few days.

Corning building company has been our family's go to store for years, if you have an older house and need parts this is the place to go!

This place either has what you need or you didn't really need it anyway! Best part is the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Great location too in South Corning.

Our refrigerator died. We shopped around and either the box stores are display only (can order the product and deliver, which can take quite some time), or the one store that actually sold refrigerators with stock, did not have a model that fit our dimensions. We decided to call CBC and to our surprise, the President of the company answered the phone.

He was walking by and the Associates were busy, so he picked up the phone. He said they have what we need and to stop by at our earliest convenience! That says a lot about this company. Virginia assisted us. She was amazing, very knowledgeable about the product. Knowing that our refrigerator actually broke, she was able to deliver within two days when their delivery schedule was out one week. This was an awesome company to deal with! Go to CBC, you won't be disappointed!

Great local hardware store. They won't have the selection that a bigger store like Home Depot might, but they have at least one brand of everything you'd need. The employees are always helpful and kind.

I went into South Corning to rent a ditcher. I needed 2, 1 1/2 conduit 90 degree elbows to finish a wiring job. I walked into the store and looked for conduit and did not see any. I walked up to the counter to ask where it was. One clerk was involved in a long conversation with someone who had just finished a purchase. I waited. A second clerk was standing around, I waited. the phone rang, the clerk walked toward me, I started to ask a question and he picked up the phone.

I turned to leave and my son told me he found them. I paid for the items and told the clerk I did not need the receipt, he kept it. When I went to leave I was stopped by a woman who demanded my receipt! She talked to me like I was a thief. I told her it was at the desk she demanded it a second time! If you need proof of payment to get out of the store, perhaps the person at the desk who has the receipt should inform the customer. Lowes does not treat me like this.

There was an issue with an order. The president of CBC went out of his way, working with the sales person, to resolve the issue quickly, efficiently, politely, and as helpful and customer oriented as possible. Yes, a mistake was made. But look, we are all human. It says more about someone when things do not go well than when everything is going great. Their prices are not double online prices. That slim margin more, is what they live on; and they work for it!

I'm a firm believer in supporting small businesses but not CBC. We bought "best washer on the market" from them they said it was guaranteed. Delivered it with a dent on it and they didn't want to fix that. This asko washer has been nothing but problems, trying to get my washer fixed has been a nightmare. They sell crap. Every time I called them they said they do not guarantee washers. They are a bunch of crooks. Do not buy anything from them
