I have been going to Salt Wood Products for 25 years and plus some. They are very friendly and very nice. They have all the outdoor swing sets, carports, barns and playground equipment you needs. There was a mistake made in my order, and it's debatable who made the mistake. When I went inside to place and pay for the order, my husband walked outside to show the salesman which one we wanted - I have no idea where the discrepancy occurred but it was not caught until it was delivered to my home. I went to the store to better understand the mistake after speaking with the owner/store manager.
The item wanted was almost $200 more than the item I received; the difference didn't dawn on me when I checked out as I also purchased other items (not quite $1500 in total). The owner/store manager told me it could be corrected but would cost me another delivery fee (mind you, I live roughly 18 miles away) and that didn't sit well with me as I had just purchased roughly $1500 from him and was looking at another 200+ to get the correct item - not to mention that it was not delivered as "promised".
So I responded that I'd just return the platform steps.to which he replied that would also cost me a delivery charge - my response was that I could return on my trailer without issue because my trailer could certainly accommodate. The only reason I had it delivered in the first place was because the item wanted wouldn't fit on my trailer easily. After I had left the store, the owner/manager called me to inform there would be a 20% restocking fee. Just UNBELIEVEABLE! Mistake aside, I guess he didn't need/want the additional business. That's not the way to treat a paying customer.
