Russell Glass sold me on having their 1" IG Glass which are the big windows you see in the pictures. They are great windows BUT Russell glass used metal framing for them that did not have a THERMOL break so when it gets 30 degrees outside I have over 130 feet of this framing that gets about 30 degrees INSIDE MY HOME. You can also see pictures showing the metal frame inside the home is 2" wide and 2" high so for every inch of this metal frame there is 4" of exposed metal. Multiply that by 131 feet or 1572 inches and you get a out of control number.

Their work has virtually destroyed my home on the cold winter days. They are suppose to be the professionals. I am an old guy living in Sun City and I was taken for a ride that I cannot afford to do anything about right now. It took me a long time to afford this addition to my home to begin with. I asked the about replacing the metal framing with framing that they are suppose to use and they wanted over $10,000 to do the job.

When I first did the job, Russell told me to go to Seton Hospital and look at the glass they installed there. I did that and it looked good. Oh but that was just the glass he didn't mention the metal framing that they used there. Why would I use this great 1" IG glass but use metal frames without a thermal break? Very bad people who would take advantage of an elderly man.

I plan on letting everyone in Sun City know about their business practices. You will also notice that ALL the windows have this metal framing around them - not just the 1" IG glass but the sliding door and other regular windows. There was no need to do that unless it just made the installation easier. 131 feet of this metal framing and there is nothing I can do but rip everything out. Shame on you Russell Glass.

I hope this gets posted so everyone will see the type of work they do. Russell Glass responded to this post and wanted me to contact them so they could help me fix the problem. Now they want $12,600 to fix this instead of their original $10,000. I don't think that is the sort of "help" your customers want. I just want everyone to know how they deal with problems.

Could not get any glass company to respond to me for a window glass replacement - Russell Glass not only set the appointment but did a great, fast, job. I would recommend them to anyone. Repairman was so friendly and explained everything he did a great job. Hard to find service like this. Thank you.

Very disappointed! I came in to the store a WEEK before I was to do a job in Georgetown to have the glass cut and ready to go. 2 simple pieces of glass to be cut to size. I specifically stated when I was to be in to pick it up. It isn't/ wasn't ready, causing me to be late! Unacceptable

Peter, Eddie and the whole crew were amazing. The window installation for my whole duplex was completed in less than two days. Everything went smoothly and professionally with little interruption to my renters. The crew swept and cleaned up both days before leaving. If it were not for my beautiful new windows, I could not see any construction. All I had to do is sit in my yard, admire their work and appreciate my decision to have the upgrade done. Many years ago, Russell Glass cut a piece of bevelled glass for my cedar chest to my specifications. It is still beautiful.

Russell Glass installed a custom built replacement patio door and we could not be happier. The workmen were polite and hard working. Would definitely use them again. We are receiving great compliments on the look of the door.

I've used Russell Glass for over six years for home and business glass projects. They have typically gotten it done on time and right. There may be less expensive providers but I typically look good local sources and this is a good organization from my point of view.

Russell Glass screened our patio and did a great job. They suggested sliding panels which we love. They were right on schedule. We have since recommended them to friends who had the same great experience.

Recently we had an issue with an over-sized sliding patio door that was beginning to leak moisture. Russell came out and determined that there were no easy solutions to replacing the over-sized doors as no one wanted to make and warranty them. They came up with another creative solution that used another type of frame and glass that could be made to the size.

This replaced the slider and matches almost perfectly another slider of the same size separated by only a column. The solution and the craftsmanship were excellent. Their service personnel were on time, polite and cleaned up completely when they finished. Very happy with the job and would recommend the company!
