I would give this company zero stars if I could. Wanting to support local business here in Brenham, Texas, I ordered a set of gas logs from Ledbetter Brick and Stone prior to Thanksgiving, 2018. Having been told by the owner that the logs would have to be ordered from the manufacturer, Grand Canyon Gas Logs of Phoenix, Arizona, I was expecting to hear something about the status within a few weeks.

I made several telephone calls.including voicemails.hoping to get some information about my order. My phone calls and voicemails were ignored. On January 3rd, 2019, I went to Ledbetter's office and spoke directly to the owner of the company. He told me that the holidays and cold weather had delayed my order, but that he had "spoken to the manufacturer specifically about my logs", and that they were to be shipped within a few days, if they were not already on the way. However, his demeanor and attempts to steer the conversation in another direction caused me to be suspicious about the truthfulness of what I was being told. So, I sent an email to Grand Canyon Gas Logs inquiring about my order, and included a copy of my paid invoice and my phone number. Literally, within 10 minutes of sending the email, I received a telephone call from a representative at Grand Canyon Gas Logs, who confirmed that there were absolutely NO orders pending for me or Ledbetter Brick, and that Ledbetter Brick was NOT in good standing with their company. And, although Grand Canyon Logs are listed on the Ledbetter Brick website, the company told me that they are no longer an authorized dealer of Grand Canyon Logs, and are no longer listed as such on the Grand Canyon Gas Log website. Luckily, I had placed the order via my credit card, and was able to dispute the transaction and obtain a refund (after having to wait 45 business days for it to be finalized, as Ledbetter never responded to me or my credit card company in an attempt to resolve this matter).

In my opinion, I was simply mislead when I placed the order, and again when I followed up in person on January 3rd, as I have substantial evidence that my gas logs were never ordered, much less scheduled for delivery. Money up front plus zero communication plus no merchandise totals up to a very bad experience with Ledbetter Brick.

At this point I can't even give you a star. You aren't returning my phone calls. I looked back, and in November, you wanted to be paid for "completed" work. For which you were paid. Now I discover you did not do your work, and I am scrambling trying to find someone to complete the work to allow the stone masons to do their work. You are just not ready for prime time. My experience would say you take a lot of long weekends; which makes you unreliable in my opinion.

I ordered my fireplace months ago. Paid in full. I cannot get anyone to call me back and let me know where my fireplace is, or what's going on. I call every business day and leave messages almost everytime. In the beginning their customer service was great. All of a sudden, No answer. I'm not even sure if they are still in business or what's going on.

The fireplace has held up drywall, texture and paint on our new home. We couldn't wait any longer and had the crews do everything but the fireplace area (per the request of Ledbetter Brick and Stone) so we will have to pay all crews extra to come out and finish because Ledbetter Brick and Stone dropped the ball.big time. I couldn't tell you the last time (if ever) that I've left a bad review for anyone.

It's usually quite the opposite. I normally leave great reviews for companies and if I had a not great experience, I just dont leave a review. This has been a horrible experience and I'm out almost $5k. The worst part is, nobody has called me back in over a month. My family is Beyond disappointed. We started talking with this company October 1, 2018 and here it is January 13, 2019. No fireplace. No response. No idea what's going on.
