Hammond lumber used to be a great company. I built my parents house and others with their lumber. Outstanding customer service at that time. If you've been with them from the start, they probably treat you alright. As for a new business owner venturing off on my own, I could not get any traction. I had a full bath/kitchen remodel thrown out because of lack of attention to detail or simply neglected to inform to "save the sale".

We are all feeling the pressure of delays but to sell, charge and then inform of long delays is borderline a scam. Especially knowing it was a time sensitive job. Since that issue I've attempted to go back for a larger re-shell project. Ive sent blueprints in to two different reps Colin Sachs and Scott Richard on two different occasions. It's now the end of March and this was started in January.

Still no word. It's a service they offer, send the prints and we'lI send back a material take off. I don't believe Hammond is for Maine's people, but rather themselves all while masking themselves as a "small family owned local maine company". They have their subs they work with and that's it. Smaller businesses and home owners should look elsewhere. You'll probably save yourself some money too. Best of luck!

Very disappointed over getting delivery of one piece of wood several phone calls later, they delivered to the wrong address, I had to wait 3 days as it was, I've had to make five phone calls and still haven't been credited to my card., they're so freaking cheap they can't wait to pick up their cracked junk piece of wood, I still haven't been credited all over $15.

For all this trouble anyone else would have just dropped off the knew piece of wood and not even worried about the junk. I mean to put a customer through this much trouble over $15? It's cost me over $15 in my time and phone calls, some credit, what a joke.

Overnight parking available. Easy docks. The store opens at 7 am. Unloading starts at 8 am and took less than 45 minutes.

Worked with Chelsea from auburn in our new build kitchen design. Very knowledgeable and problem solved through our wants vs needs vs costs. Quick response through email and voicemail. Chelsea was patient and professional even when we were stressed. Finished kitchen is outstanding! Thanks!

Terrible customer service. I tried to order replacement window parts through Hammond to support a local business. Over two months later I've heard nothing. I had to drive to the store four to get answers after five attempts by phone and I could not BUY a return call on the status or ETA. Told each time there are delays due to shipping or covid concerns.

No one cared about trying to get it resolved. I finally gave up and asked for my money back. I then went direct to the manufacturer's website (Anderson Windows) and I received the parts in less than ten days. I don't write reviews like this, but I cannot believe how indifferent this outfit was to trying to get me what I'd already paid them for. Once the sale was made, the important work of actually providing the parts I'd ordered simply didn't seem to matter.

I've been buying materials here for 30 years. My Dad before that and I remember being so excited to get in his truck to get thing's there! Great place! I expected better quality for the price. I bought some 2x6x16pt and they were cracked down the middle and fairly warped and bent. I also got some 5/4 pt decking and got lots of outside pieces with bark. This has never happened before. Always great quality until this delivery.

Hammond Lumber is fantastic work with. The customer service is second to none. My wife and I are building a Lake home and every aspect form plans, materials, even the dock were covered. Thank you all Hammond associates!

Excellent Quick Service. Everyone there was very friendly. This is my first time using them and let them know upfront I'm a novice starter. They did a great job!

Building a ground level deck and I wanted to buy and support local instead of big box. We are new to the area so I had not been to Hammond Lumber in this area before. I went to Hancock Lumber first because they are closer and waited 10 plus days for a quote, emailed and called with no response. Gave you guys a shot and spoke to Brett Hackett. Brett was very helpful and took care of my quote within 30 minutes. I'm a do-it-yourselfer and you just won a customer for life! Thanks Hammond Lumber!
