From the moment they answered the phone they were not flexible to help my dilemma of trying to find retaining wall blocks that have been hard to find! A company that doesn't sell to the public had this company listed in carrying their product. The brand I was looking for was on their website, yet all they could say was "we don't carry that anymore". I also felt rushed off the phone. Thanks but no thanks! I guess they didn't need my business.

This place other than being convenient to our house, I have nothing positive to say about this place. We needed pavers for our backyard and boy what a mistake that was to order it from them. They told us in one week we will receive our order and had it in writing as well. Not only they didn't deliver them in a week, they were unresponsive to our phone calls when we left message after message, and when they did answer our call, they would say "oh, let me check on it and call you back" which they never did! It took them 3 weeks to finally deliver our pavers. They are plain rude and arrogant especially if you are an individual or a female!

Worst customer service experience. Fully paid for an order and delivery of pavers. Not given a firm delivery date, but some estimates. Then three months later, still never provided expected delivery date. Each time I called, I was told they would call me back after checking with the supplier. Never received a call back. They are forcing me to drive back to the store, stand in line and ask for my refund. Terrible way to treat a paying customer.

Buy gravel at Morgans multiple times a year. They have always taken care of me. They deliver or fill my ton truck. Never had an issue in the office being treated differently since I'm a women.

Someone here mentioned it's male dominated, but honestly, I didn't go in with that attitude, and did not have anyone talking down to me, or any issues of that nature. They are usually quite busy, but have courteous customer service when it's your turn. Sometimes you have to run around outside looking for help, but you will always get someone within a short period of time who will be helpful. To date, no negatives.

Very helpful staff as well as knowledgeable in the field and a humongous inventory to choose from probably one of my favorite the side of the day I highly recommend saving yourself a headache and just coming here as they can help you sum up a lot of your confusion because if you ask me that's half the job and the most of the headache rocking your brain you still not come to a conclusion

Great place for general masonry items with pretty good inventory. The rest they will custom order for you. The problem is that unlike Lowe's or Home Depot you won't find price tags in anything. You will have to go into he office and ask them. If you already have a general idea of the prices then you are good to go.

I recently bought 1400 pounds of landscape pebbles from Morgans and picked it up from their distributor in Hayward. It was loaded onto my truck on a pallet of which there were supposed to be 30 bags, upon arriving home I received only 25 bags. The distributor would not deal with directly to correct issue so Bob talked to their sales representative to get my 5 extra bags. I was glad Bob got my issue resolved and the pebbled accent looks great in the yard. Thanks again! Happy

After spending days shopping for the perfect stone slabs for my garden steps at Morgan's and getting permission from an employee at the front desk to pick thicker stone steps from a lower layer of a pallet, I arrived to make my purchase of dozens of flagstone sized River stones for a path along with two even larger stone steps. I was told that I was not allowed to buy large stones from a layer down on the pile.

After being told the day before that I could! This was a pile mostly of stones from another pallet that were not even the same stone type! I told them I was buying over a dozed stones to the tune of over $1,000 and all I needed was two thicker stones as well. I hired babysitters for the morning to be able to get the stone. Not only did they stew me over and treat me like trash off the street, they cost me money and an entire weekend of lost time on my project.

There is no way in Hell that a contractor or professional landscaper would be treated this way. I have shopped at Morgan's dozens of times for mulch, stone, and decomposed gravel over the years and will NEVER return. They lost my business as well as my family and friend's business. Hope it was worth it guys!

Customer service is non-existent and unapologetic. They do not maintain live inventory and do not care to maintain positive relationships with those who bring business to them. Be ware.

If you are a woman, DO NOT go in there without a man. They are rude, patronizing, condescending and arrogant. Not to mention, they never behave like knuckle dragging chest pounders when I am with my contractor husband. Neither he nor I will EVER take our business there again because of how they treated me today. And the thing is, they don't care.so if they don't care, why would anyone go there? TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

I was just sent back for a purchased of top soil today. The bald dude took my credit cards for the purchase without telling me that they closed at 4:00. Their website still states opens from 7:00 - 5:00. I was there at 4:15 and was refused to pick up the bags of soil. I would have been okay & understanding if he would be courteous instead he was unapologetic & unprofessional claiming that he did say about the change of closing early.

I went to the store for fire cement only to be greeted by the rudest sales assistant that I have ever come across. Although their yard appears well stocked with rocks and bricks their sales assistants on three different occasions act as if they are doing you a favor and/or you have disrupted their day by showing up. Avoid the store if you can and go to Brickyards in Concord instead.

As a female being asked where my contractor was and "this is what I need to tell" my contractor even after I stated that I was the individual conducting the job takes me back to the 1940's in the movies. Really Guys!

They have a great presentation, the yard is neat and well organized, but the customer service is the worst. The counter person, Jose, makes you feel like you're interrupting him from his work. He offers nothing, he just takes your money. I'd be surprised if they stay in business with employees like him.

Customer Servive here is a lost cause. A few weeks ago I made a 1500.00 order for rock. They were all over that. A couple of days ago I wanted to buy 30 lava rocks to start to put around my cork tree. I walked all the way out brought a rock in to ask how it is priced. The guy at the counter told me. Then told me to go outside.stand there as someone would come and help me.

They had to bag it and weigh it. Countless people ignored me, and moved on to help large, heavy orders. I waited there for half hour to buy 30 lousy rocks.no one at the front desk offered to help. I wonder who is running this place. Needless to say with all the major landscape projects we are doing, we are going elsewhere.we have told our pool guy and our gardener to purchase nothing further from them.

I have patronized the Morgan family's business before when they were in San Leandro. since the SL location closed, I drove the extra miles to pick up yellow fire bricks, for which they are one of very few suppliers. They have a huge selection, low prices, and are an old fashioned no frills Ma & Pa type of business. I waited just a minute or two, paid for my order, and it was loaded into my pickup truck by a very pleasant and helpful employee. Morgan's focuses on value, selection, and efficiency. I will continue to give them my business when they have what I need.

Bait and Switch, the masonry stone I thought I ordered and what arrived were two separate products. The product they did try to pawn off was old, weathered, and completely unusable. The box it was sitting in looked like it had been outside for a year. Very rudely, they argued that was the stone and there were no refunds. Once I demanded a refund the company became very hostile and threatening. I'll get my refund one way or another by my advice is stay away from this company, there are many other providers of masonry products in the San Ramon, CA area. I am providing a zero rating and after seeing the reviews it looks like I'm not the only one.

Tried buying hardscape material twice in the last year and both the times just could not get past to placing the order. It is just difficult to get them to give you a quote over phone or email. Found another hardscape supply store to be better both in price and service. Overall, they have terrible customer service and don't seem interested in your business.

Okay now I see it now. Only 2.5 average rating. Got it. After more than three weeks trying to get a quote from Morgan's Masonry, via email and driving 50 miles, we still have not received anything. We'll definitely take our business elsewhere.

Morgan's Masonry has the WORST customer service of any business in the East Bay. My staff & I have been consistently treated with disrespect, ignorance & abruptness on every visit. We have purchased several thousand dollars of rock & stone from them because they are located near our home. Over the last month we have been in the store a dozen times & have just as many examples of poor service.

Most recently I waited for 10 minutes in line while one employee casually conversed with & rang up another customer, another sat at a desk & a third pontificated about the absurd requirement to wear face masks to another man who was waiting for help. When I got tired of waiting I walked out. The man who had ignored me completely interrupted his loud monologue to say said, "Did you have a question?" I left the store & hope to never have to return.

Many other examples of substandard service come to mind, but the bottom line is that the employees treat customers with an attitude of impatience & in a condescending manner that is never worth the products they sell. They have much to learn from the men outside who do the hard work of moving the merchandise.

Was building raised beds this spring and needed soil to fill those up. Had ordered 2 yards of planter mix from Morgan masonry. Quality of the soil mix was terrible. Found several plastic pieces and sharp glass objects. I will not order from these folks again. I ordered Diablo mix from Danville Sloat garden center that can be used for the planter boxes without the need for any amendments. Delivery charges were less too. Think about it.

My opinion.if you are a woman, they really don't help you much. If you are a man, but not a contractor, you get the same treatment as if you were a woman. They point you in the direction they THINK you might want based on a couple of questions that they really didn't hear you ask. We have dealt with them several times over the years.and the results have always been the same.

They have good products, but very lacking customer service.frustrating at best. The problem is that there is no other place like it.so you just simply have to deal with their almost rude customer service.

This is my local "yard" where I would have hoped to find friendly faces. Maybe they don't like dealing with "consumers", but my experience today makes me want to come back never. Although it's a much longer drive, The Brickyard is better for options and help. Maybe it's the Covid thing going on right now, but top to bottom all the people I dealt with were miserable

DANGER. Do not go to Morgan's! Long story short. They delivered 12 yards of the wrong material, and refused to take it back. I had proof that they delivered the wrong material, but they still would not accept responsibility for their mistake. Their response was, "mistakes happen and they cost money". Ultimately, I was able to return the material on my own by finding a truck, bobcat and neighborly help (3 trips to return the material).

Every step of the way the staff at Morgan's tried to put up roadblocks to prevent me from returning the material. Customer service does not exist at this business and how they remain in business is a mystery. If you have a need for their products you should go elsewhere. These people are rude, arrogant, and incompetent. Consider yourself warned.

I went in & ordered rock, I knew exactly what I wanted so the transaction was quick. I ordered delivery for Friday. The driver arrived & delivered to the spot we asked. BUT as the dump truck was closing it caught one of our Oak tree's large branches & the driver stopped, moved the branch then finished his work! That is awesome! Thank you driver!

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to leave 0 stars. First of all, they are rude and condescending - they hate dealing with the public. If you don't know EXACTLY what you want and don't use the appropriate lingo they'll look on you as a waste of time. "Crushed rock for pavers?" "Yeah, to put under the pavers as a base" "You mean, paver base" "Yes, that" "Would be easier if you called it that" What!?

And then, to rub it in after you manage to get your order confirmed they never show up when they promised. Three days later I call on the morning of the intended delivery (Friday) with construction guys waiting around to start. "Oh, we can't do today. It'll have to be Monday now" When you go to cancel the dispatcher blames the sales guy (who confirmed with the dispatcher in the first place).

The sales guy is off sick so he can't blame someone else. Pay more and get it from someone more reputable. There is a reason why they are cheap. Worst company in San Ramon - congratulations!

Best place to buy the supplies that you need. If they don't have what you need they'll order it for you. Ask for Jose in the front desk he's very helpful and when you are ready to pick up your stuff ask for Jorge best forklift guy. : Fast service most of the time.

This is a fantastic place to find rocks, pavers, stone, retaining wall blocks etc. Selection is ample and while it costs more than big box stores quality is another level. However I have found this place cheaper than other stone yards for example for gravel, sand etc. About the associates in the office, their job is not to be outdoors designers, but they can give you very valid advice.

My landscaper recommend that we stopped by here to check out their paver selection. You can park on San Ramon Valley if you want to avoid driving/parking in the dirt lot. Was greeted fairly quick when my wife and I walked into the main office. Jeff helped answer some questions on pavers, gave us a brochure, and directed us to where the samples were.

He was friendly and helpful. It was nice to see the patterns and colors in person. There is a noticeable difference in colors between the web site/brochure and physical stones.
