The Mill Yard is a local lumber company that has been serving our community for over a quarter century. When we started in 1985 we operated out of an 8-by-8 building fondly remembered as "the shack". I have been to The Mill Yard to purchase a Renner card (multiple times). The only two things I have to complain or mention are their poor customer service and the staff not wearing a mask during this pandemic. The total disregard for the customer's health is very apparent - almost a joke to them. Arrogant

Got there around 8 to pick up a couple of boards. I tried to flag down employees for help, just looked at me and kept going. When I finally did get someone to help me I was told the forklift guys don't really "do customers" and that they are really short-staffed in the morning. Perfect time to have a light staff. Employees inside were absolutely no help.
I was lured here by the cheapest price I could find on what I was getting, but all these are the reviews are correct. These employees couldn't care less. I wonder how many five-star ratings are from management, employees and their families.

One of the best locations in the county for building products. Their selection of structural components and exterior finish materials is extensive. Behind the contractors desk Scotty is always ready with a smile and quick to get your project moving. The lumber stacks are organized in a methodical way and the lengths of material are noted on the ground in front of each stack! This saves me so much time. If you have a tricky question or need a solution Bob has it at the front counter.
