First, multiply Length x Width x Depth, in feet, to get the total Cubic Footage. Next take the total Cubic Footage result and divide it by 27 to get your total Cubic Yards. Then take your total Cubic Yards result and multiply it by 1.30 to find the estimated tonnage needed for your project. Compaction is not a factor in this equation because drainage materials do not have a compaction component.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Not to mention the cleanest and most reasonably priced rock I've ever received.

I needed some river rock for landscaping to fill in what was already there. I decided to go with Meisel rock, however, would NEVER use them again. When I first called, they discussed about concrete driveways not being the same as a road and sometimes there can be chipping/damage of the driveway. I told them that my driveway was asphalt but they did not say that was a problem.

I went to the quarry and picked out my rock. On the day of delivery, the dump truck arrived, and I asked the driver if it would be a problem for my driveway for the truck or the dumping of the rocks. I said if it was, I showed him where he could dump it where we had some rock already that was not on the driveway. He said it wasn't a problem. He then noticed that he had the wrong rock based on what was there and what I had picked out.

He had to go get the correct rock and return. When he returned he backed into the driveway and dumped it. When he left, there was a large divot in the asphalt from the truck tire. I contacted Meisel and they said "they were sorry" but "we told you". This is not what I was told. I explained that I asked the driver to make sure it was ok and the driver said it was.

They told me that "he doesn't know." What? I had an estimate for repair which was $303 which I thought was reasonable. I gave that to them after they asked for pictures, and when I talked to them I was told "well that is interesting" "seems like a lot." They basically said they are not responsible even though I asked if it was ok. They said that I misunderstood and there was "miscommunication." Why would I want my driveway damaged when I offered a second spot to dump not on the driveway?

How can the driver not know where it is ok to drive his truck? They made NO effort to make things right and just basically said they were sorry and too bad. Even if they would have made a gesture in good customer service to pay for half of the repair, I would have been happy. I will not buy from them again and just wanted to make you all aware so you don't have the same problem.

We've always had the best experience using Meisel Rock. Bought a lot of 3/4 minus from them. Always good quality product and great customer service.

I use to work for Meisel Rock Products, I ended up quiting cus I got placed an hour away from where I've been working for the past 9 months, all because I made a complaint about a supervisor that was singing me out and been others with the same problems with him in the past and the company won't do anything about how abrasive he is towards employees but other than that if u like working 6 days a week and 10 hr shifts and no breaks then Meisel be a great place to work!
