Tried to order 2x12's and they told me they had 30-40 in stock at the length I was looking for. Called me back telling me they aren't interested in selling them to be because they are "hard to come by" - I literally in shock. I was never even concerned w the price or anything but since they are "hard to come by" they've decided not to sell me any. crazy

Thieves! Madison Township Lumber's salesperson ordered the wrong size windows for my new construction. He took back the windows and promised to credit my account once they were sold. I had to chase him several times, every time being told that they were on a sales sheet and would be issuing the credit soon. This was over a year ago. That salesperson has since retired and MTL is not taking any responsibility for his actions. They never sold my windows and never gave me a credit either. Avoid using this company or they will steal from you too!

I have worked with their 'travelling' sales man Paul, and he is great. Unfortunately, when i went to the store to match up some chestnut molding which i brought with me, the sales man, Dave pretty much blew me off. He said i should call in the order! When i asked him what type of wood would they order for me, he said they would order chestnut! I'm no expert but American Chestnut has been extinct for close to 100 years! Very disappointing. I went to JH Monteath in Old Bridge and they were matched my requirements on the spot!

Its the best place to buy lumber and other material. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking to buy construction materials.

Love this place. Very hard to find a old school mom and pop hardware store anymore. They are all gone. I hate being a woman and going to Home Depot. I need to pull teeth to get help. These guys are great. Every time I walk in the door I'm greeted with a friendly hello and a warm welcome. The owner and the boss " Hos Dad" are so great. Thanks guys and stay strong

This store has a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I would say it is generally more geared to the professional contractor. However, if they can help you out as someone who is a do-it-yourselfer, I think you will get honest information as best as they give you.

One of the last few old school hardware stores left in the Country. Father and Son business. Upon entering the store be prepared to be greated by sales associates willing to help you with any questions. Avoid Home Depot where you need to beg someone to get help. Support your local Businesses.

Buyers beware this company doesn't give u top of the line stuff there not for the costmer they treat there employee s horrible they will give u bad lumber some of there ply wood is from home depot any way there silver line windows are no good your better off taken your business elsewhere do your self the the favor don't waste your time with mtl

This is the second time that I have done business with Madison Twp Lumber and they were absolutely great. Tony and Vinnie really work with you and are extremely helpful. I highly recommend them for any job, big or small.
