They were working on the house next door to us, and Paul parked his car directly in front of our driveway causing us not to be able to leave or for our trash to be picked up. We went and nicely asked him to move and he said "go take a picture. I have every right to park where ever". We had been thinking of getting a quote for a banquette in our dining room from Knothole, but if this is how they treat people, I'd rather not retain their services. Edit: wow.
He just moved the truck so it's now at the very edge of our driveway and shouted at us, "now you can't do anything about it." Still blocking the trash can, and there is completely empty street everywhere.

Had them do cabinets for our kitchen. Said a month, took over four. Installed warp panels and even drilled knob holes off center. Horrible trying to reach him. Said he would replace two panels and disappeared. never returned our many calls. Fired our GC for picking such a horrible contractor. Nice guy but horrible business man with poor quality. Obviously bites off more than he can handle.

They never, ever call you back. David made our kitchen cabinets, and a stand-alone cabinet for our integrated refrigerator and freezer. The cabinet for our fridge has large pantry drawers on either side for storage. All of the cabinet fronts on the the stand-alone cabinet are completely warped and do not open properly. He made the refrigerator panels too heavy for the doors and they would not shut properly.
The tracks on the drawers were not sized properly for the weight they carried. Fast forward two years. We got a new refrigerator/freezer and had to have the entire cabinet remade, and paid for a completely new cabinet. We incorrectly thought that he would learn from his mistakes and make the second one the right way. The second one is warped, the drawer tracks were not sized properly AGAIN and need to be replace.
The door on the fridge was not put on properly - it is warped and is now splitting in half where the handle is. Nothing lines up and the entire cabinet is out of wack. In addition, he did not make the openings for the refrigerator/freezer according to the specs, and the installer had trouble getting them in. We cannot put the manufacturers hinge covers on because there is not enough space in the cabinet. David came out and said he would order new tracks for the drawers and fix the split.
That was at about 6 months ago. I've called at least 5 times to schedule a time. He will not call me back, and has not fixed anything All in, we have spent well over $75K with him (he did our kitchen cabinets, and two integrated cabinets). He is a nice guy, but a terrible, terrible businessman. Our builder and our interior decorator have stopped using him because of his inconsistency, his lack of time management skills, poor quality workmanship, and zero customer service. Do not use him. I am in the process of contacting other cabinets to either fix his mistakes, or make us a completely new cabinet.
