Huston Lumber was established in the early 1930's by the Huston Family in North Plainfield, NJ. The Colson family acquired this facility in 1977, and a second location was added with the acquisition of Felmley Lumber in Oldwick, NJ in 1985. Huston Lumber & Supply is focused on providing premier customer service to renovation and remodeling contractors and custom home builders.

Yelp isn't really a good source for reviews. If you can't counter a bad review or good review, you're just left with biased one sided opinions. You don't get the full story. Huston Lumber has always been a fantastic source for solid advice and quality products. They always stand behind the products they sell. Even if they have to take the hit to make it right when there's a problem. I've never dealt with a company that was more customer focused. The box stores sell junk at a price an opinion panel deemed correct. Are you more concerned about quality or a cheap price? You buy cheap, you get cheap.

My wife and I purchased a front door from them last year and we were very unhappy with their service. They offered us the door at a good price but keep stalling when it came to preparing it for our contractor to install. After several months of being put off and mislead. our contractor got involved. He was able to push them into completing the door, Now a year or so later the door frame which is made of a cheap pvc material is peeling and curling up.
We asked several times if they would send someone to look at it. The response was a very rude! All sales are final and its your problem! Nice way to treat a customer. I would much rather deal with the big box stores who always stand behind their products. A word to the wise stay far away from the lousy customer service and product support from Houston Lumber! Thank Goodness for social media so others can be warned in advance
