Always a great patriot, with great love for America, it is fitting that he died on this day. Elden was born on Sept. 8, 1925 in Salt Lake City, where he grew up with his two best buddies, his older brothers. The three of them had great adventures together on the west side of town. He also was excited when his little brother and sister came along. No one was more important to him than his family! He later graduated from West High School. When WWII started he was not old enough to enlist, so he went to San Francisco and joined the Merchant Marines.

In the mid-1930s, LeRoy E. Harrington (who preferred to be called Harry) was a successful salesman for PABCO Building Products in California. Throughout his travels, Harry recognized an opportunity to start a business that would distribute roofing products exclusively, which was a new concept at the time.
My husband and I were doing some remodeling to our house and were referred to Harrington & Company. We went to their Salt Lake location and found exactly what we needed and were treated with the best service. Had fun shopping for roofing shingles today. Turns out I wanted a color that is seldomly used.
Blocks are used extensively for both loadbearing and non-loadbearing walls, externally and internally. Blocks are uniform in color and texture and generally true uniform construction. A concrete block wall can be laid in less time and may cost up to half as much as a similar brick wall. Lightweight aggregate concrete blocks have good insulating properties against transfer of heat and cold. Concrete blocks are manufactured from cement and either dense or lightweight aggregates as solid, cellular, or hollow block.

A family owned business, with a very knowledgeable staff. It's a one stop shop. From roofing materials, vinyl fences and siding to a brand new Paint Center which carries the Dunn Edwards paint brand and many wood stains. The above ground block garden designs are amazing. I will be coming back again.

I've been buying and dealing with Harrington and Co. For years. They are a pretty good bunch of people. They are getting more and more products all the time. I can't say it's always easy to get what you need and get gone but it's usually pretty good. They have a tenancy to go through help allot so you don't always get someone who knows exactly what's going on, but again they usually always have what they sell in stock and that is nice.

Harrington's is great. The counter sales reps always help me find EXACTLY what I need. I have also had great experiences designing and purchasing milguard windows for my home as well as my family's homes through Shaun there and Steven with our vinyl fence. Harrington's really does know the meaning of service in both the residential and commercial industries.

Incredibly helpful with a search for fencing today. Friendly (and happy!) customer service with an agent who called me back to let me know Harrington didn't carry the product I was interested in. Who does that these days? I can't comment on price as I was unable to make a purchase, but 5 stars for customer service, overall 4 for product selection. I would definitely call them again.

I ordered six raised garden beds from this company. When the order arrived, they were supposed to be a rough finish on the blocks. There was a miscommunication somewhere along the line and the blocks came smooth finish instead. I called the company and they were very understanding and they made everything right!
