Although we were not able to be local customers of this store, Steve provided us with excellent customer service!

TLDR- If you are serious about getting flooring done, go to Kent Great Floors and work with Steve Streeter. Hurry though, he may retire this year. I shopped various flooring companies from Spanaway to North Seattle from boutique flooring companies to Home Depot- surveying friends and meeting with estimator from Angie's List. Nowhere did I find anybody as helpful and knowledgeable as Steve.

Not only is he a multi-decade veteran of the housing industry, specializing in flooring for the last eight years, he is courteous in his manner thoughtful in his comments. He makes sure to match the customer to the right product, making effective recommendations, and in some cases even recommending against the higher tier items that every other shop recommended, relying on his background to help inform where the features would be wasted. Steve personally come out to our house to take measures, and was through in his mapping, strategic in the application of materials, and careful in explaining the plan of action when it came to moving forward. Knowing cost was a concern, Steve helped us identify flooring options that would work within our price point, that would meet or exceed our requirements for quality.

After we found an option that worked in our budget, he helped me get rewards points by running the transaction on our credit card for no extra charge. Clearly Steve is recognized as a high-quality project coordinator already, whenever I've been in to work with him, he's had several customers he's waiting on. Nowhere, have I found anybody with his high level of knowledge, skill, and precision with product selection.

He even had a specific installer assigned to the job at my house, and confirmed the appointment time each time we speak. When you come to Great Floors, let them know you need to work with Steve. No one else will do. Your confidence in the project and your budget will benefit from his care.

Wonderful Experience. From the moment we walked in the door and was greeted by Wendy, through the ordering process and installation we felt honored and valued as a customer. Juan Damien did an amazing job on the installation. His pride of work and craftsmanship was on full display! He was prompt, courteous, and very thourough. We will definitely be back if we ever need a flooring solution again, and will recommend this amazing team to our friends and family. Kudos to all!

Great Experience with this GR Store. We had water damage in our kitchen which trashed our laminate flooring. Marc Taylor( Project Coordinator) was wonderful to deal with. He helped us pick out a SHAW( made in the USA :-) LVP product. The flooring arrived at GR long before our cabinets were done, so Marc held our pallet of flooring, until we were ready for install. Justin, in the warehouse, & his crew helped me load the LVP into our SUV. Tony/Julio did the install & our looks Great( ok that is a pun;-). We are very happen with the product, install & service of Great Floors

One snafu after another. No return phone calls. We were supposed to get a phone call about installation tomorrow, it's 6:15 pm and haven't heard a peep. Such unprofessional behavior. From sales person to manager and installation supervisor one disappointment after another. Run to another company!

Great Floors Kent is dedicated to making sure the customer is satisfied. My wife and I got a new home and had Great Floors scheduled for a Tuesday to have my upstairs redone within a week of moving in. Tuesday came, and there were scheduling issues, and the installer did not arrive until 7 pm and left around 10:30 pm. He could not do it all that night, and I have a five-year-old at home, so I was frustrated.

A new installer came the following day and did finish the work. Within a day, the stairs carpet started coming up at the edges do they sent someone out to fix it right away. They showed me the issue was the tac strip underneath and how they would fix the problem with staples. After that was complete, I was still very frustrated. Now the carpeting had kept my family up one night, took a second day, and did not hold on to the stairs, so they wanted to make it right.

I had a small dining room 10X10 that I wanted new flooring instead of money back. They were able to get free laminate and installation. Although I had two frustrating days, the finished work both upstairs and in the dining room made me a pleased customer. Knowing their dedication to make it right with the customer will keep me returning when I redo my downstairs.

I got my bathroom floors and laundry room floor done a few months ago. I was very pleased with the price as well as the salesman Harvey that i worked with! I would give Harvey 5 stars the only thing i wasnt pleased with was the chaulk job the workers did around the tub. It looked very sloopy my 17 year old did a better job when she chaulked the tile aound the tub a while back. Lol! Other than that, my experience was fantastic! Harvey even came to my house on his own time to make sure everything would be in order before the install.

Went to GF in search for flooring material for our home gym. We were greeted by a nice salesman who was new to GF. Despite being new with the company he was clearly a pro in the industry. I cannot remember his name, but he was super helpful and helped recommend the right flooring for our needs. The flooring was delivered to their showroom within the next week, and were able to pick it up right away. My husband installed the flooring himself, with ease! Great experience!

Very difficult to get in touch with. We've called a few times requesting a quote, but all they do is get our contact information promising someone will be in touch and nobody has ever called us back. Giving up on trying to contact anyone here.

Literally walked in looking to buy flooring today. Waited for 3o minutes, not one person approached me and not one customer in the showroom other than me. One gal stuffing her face at her desk. Walked out and passed two employees, not even an acknowledgement I was even there. These people clearly have better things to do than help me with flooring. Will for sure be sharing my experience with others besides here on yelp and obviously will never step foot in another Crap Floors store again.

I am really confused by the low ratings here and can only assume they are fakes. I have been to several area stores and am delighted with this one. The quality is MUCH better than Home Depot, Lowes or Pro Source at better prices. They have a good showroom. They have some flooring, etc in stock and Ibrahim went very far out of his way to help me with vinyl flooring.

I had already bought my carpet at a well known store (I just moved here) and then saw a better quality carpet at a much lower price at Great Floors. That wasn't fun. I was hindered somewhat by the COVID rpoblem and couldn't get into all places. I might add that I was a property manager for 20 years and know flooring!

Run from this place as fast as you can. The entire experience is an exercise in why retail is dying. We needed wood-look porcelain tile for a complete remodel of our new house. The saleswoman, Cathy, quoted us installation prices of $2.50 a square foot, which is way below market average. We were thrilled to save some money and decided to order the materials through Great Floors in order to get the installation pricing, only to be told after purchasing the materials that the ACTUAL installation price would be more than $15/square foot.

Classic bait and switch. Materials were about $14,000 for 2500 square feet, and she was going to charge us more than $43,000 for installation. We had also requested 450 square feet of luxury vinyl planking for a bonus room, that no one bothered to order or communicate to us about. It was only after we declined installation that they told us we would need to arrange to pick up the materials ourselves--they will only deliver if you use their in-house installation.

We had to rent a truck and hired movers to haul the materials, which was obviously a huge pain in the butt considering that every other supplier offers delivery of such orders. The bottom line is that you can order the same materials for better prices elsewhere, and save yourself the customer service nightmare that Great Floors brings. The entire staff was unhelpful and unapologetic. We 100% regret giving these people our money.

Worst service ever. Tons of people standing around and when a lady finally bothered to ask if we needed help she couldn't be bothered with the questions I had. Doesn't seem like a great place to go if you don't know what you're doing cause nobody is going out of their way to help you out. Selection seemed good, service was poor.

Jim/Joe the manager tried to reach out below answering our yelp. That was appreciated but there was no misunderstanding the employee was rude and made no effort to match or ID the hardwood we brought in. This is not a review against the store itself or the managers rather just this particular employee who was condescending. I hope any of you that shop here never have to run into her. Hopefully she treats you better with some respect and acts like she wants your business.

We have been updating our house for the last 4 months. We have added a new roof, skylights, gutters, exterior-interior paint, furnace, hot water tank, AC, bathroom remodel, finished a basement, new furniture and carpet ect. -The carpet experience was definitely the low point. Great Floors was the least expensive bid by 300$. I wish now I had just spent the extra 300$! (Our total job was ~ 8000$) From the start the communication and coordination was not great.

Then on install day the carpet arrived for the lower level of the house and had been ruined by a forklift. This was almost 60 yards of carpet. It was torn in several places in 3-4 foot lengths. Great Floors wanted us to install it and they would order replacement pieces then come back out remove those pieces and patch in the new carpet. ((I said no.)) I was not going to get carpet from 2 different dye lots.

I was insulted that they asked. I had already removed all our furnishings and taken a day of work. We also had out of state company coming in 2 days and as a result the old carpet (which was ruined from the construction in the basement) had to remain in place with the prolific paint and sheetrock mud spots and stains. For a week our company saw this in our beautiful new basement and we were unhappy.

New carpet was ordered and were told that a rebate would be applied for our troubles. I took another day off work and anticipated installation on the estimated day. Less than 48 hours before the appointment after still not hearing if this date was going to work because of the shipping of the carpet I drove to the Lynnwood store. I was told no one could tell me if the carpet would in fact be installed on the proposed / estimated date and the installation coordinator was not reachable.

I left not knowing what the deal was. I was called 20 minutes later by the installation coordinator and he implied that he didn't know anything about me going to the store and that he was just giving me a "courtesy call". They come out to install after I again took another day off work and moved all the furniture outside and again uninstalled the Murphy Bed and for all this effort and hassle I was offered $150 rebate off our 8000$ order. -LAME AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T PAID/CREDITED IT TO US! nor have they communicated. again. Do business elsewhere - I gave 2 stars because Jesus the installer was very good and a very nice man. (that's the only reason for 2 stars)

Very helpful. Usually have some special on flooring. Wendy was very attentive to my needs and wants. Allowed me to reserve the rug I wanted until rest of work finished. Once I was ready the person to measure was able to come out within several days and installation was scheduled several days after that. They did a great job and my floors look great!

I had leftover flooring that my contractor got from Great Floors on sale. I waited about 4 months to make a decision to see if they had any stock left. I called Lynnwood and Joan found it at another store and made arrangements to have it transferred up to my closest store. And it was still on sale. Thank you and can't wait to install it. Sure they have a nice looking showroom, but working with them was a nightmare after they screwed up. Avoid! We needed ~18 sq ft of tile to fill a space on the edge of our existing tiled floor. My wife went to Great Floors in Lynnwood, about 6 blocks from our house, with written tile measurements, and a whole sample tile to match the size and color.

My wife felt Joan was immediately dismissive of her, merely pointing her in a general direction, but otherwise not willing to assist, despite the store being mostly empty. After finding something similar in color, and reiterating the dimensions, Joan ordered us the tile for about $110. Around 1 week later the tile arrived, and the real problems began.

The GF tile was almost 1/2 inches too big. Right on the box it was clear this was not the size we needed. We went to the store, new tile in arms, and talked with Joan about the issue, hoping for an exchange to rectify their error. She confirmed the order was correct, saying something to the effect of "that's just the way tile sizes are", and we'd have to talk with manager for a return.

We left our info for the Manager, Jim Dahl, to call us. Over the next week Jim never called, despite us calling a couple times. We eventually went to the store one morning and were told that we just missed him. I requested he call me which he of course never did. I instead returned to the store later that afternoon, and finally caught up with Jim.

Immediately he seemed defensive, saying they can't do returns; we literally argued in circles about this, with me pointing out we did everything we could to get the right size (a full sample, written measurements), and the error was Great Floors', not ours. Finally he angrily conceded he could refund me, but not himself, but via corporate instead.

A couple weeks later a check arrived in the mail, inexplicably short by ~$10. Seriously? This is a store that is surely doing $1000's or 10,0000's regularly (daily? weekly?), but couldn't stand to refund petty cash for their clear mistake. Especially now being a new home owner of an old house, I've never encountered a business with such terrible customer service. I'll never return and I find myself regularly sharing this story with friends to encourage them to shop elsewhere.

We did find our tile eventually after this debacle at a much more modest store near Everett, and they even had the tile right there in stock. Best of all their employees were helpful and courteous.

GROSS INCOMPETENCE. We ordered carpet and had specific installation instructions. We went over them MULTIPLE times with the salesperson, Joan. She said she understood, would have their best installer assigned and it would be done as specifically requested. She even had to verify it could be done as we requested before we ordered and paid for carpet.

She confirmed it would be installed as we requested. On the day of installation, a crew arrived different than she had said and the carpet had been cut completely wrong which resulted in multiple seams that should not have been. As it was raining, all our furniture was outside under tents, and we had no choice, they went ahead with installation. We were given an approximately 25% refund because of their screwup but our beautiful expensive carpet looks awful because there are seams in highly visible places where there were supposed to be none. Will NEVER go back.

In response to my request for information about the flooring sample I was interested in (e.g. a brochure or a website to visit), Cathy (the "salesperson") told me "maybe you should choose a different product" (if that is important to you). I was shocked - is this customer service? I'd hate to think what they'd say if I bought from them and there was a problem. No sale!

We had a great experience with Tim. He was super helpful, courteous, informative. We haven't had anything delivered yet, but the buying process was really pleasant. We tore the whole store apart, left and came back, and took all day and feel really good about our purchase.

Recently needed to go and pick out new flooring, wasn't quite sure exactly what we wanted but the staff gave us a wonderful experience and Kevin is a very patience and wonderful man. If you want flooring at a great price and a wonderful atmosphere go to Great Floors.
