GM Fence

We put a cedar fence and gate up through GM about 3 years ago. Poor quality wood does not hold primer - paint peeled and chipped the first year. Gate is very cheap and poorly installed. Not withstanding the test of time well at all. Would not use this company again.

Terrible installation never returned to fix the issues. No customer service they are to be avoided

While other companies wouldn't come back or gave me an estimate that was much higher, GM Fence came through for me. They put up a beautiful fence and swing gate. They were prompt, courteous, and fair. This was my second time hiring them. The first time was on a steep slope on my previous back yard, they did a fantastic job, again when other companies didn't want to do my small and complicated job. Both times the fence worked and kept my small dog in. I would hire them again and again!

I work in landscape and park maintenance and have used for many years. The are a great Company overall.

Got a great price on a standard 6 foot white PVC fence 120 feet across. Got quotes from several other places within a 15 mile radius. It wasnt an easy job, it went up a 45 degree incline in one spot and there some small trees in the way, they took care of everything. Work was efficient and was done in a day, highly reccomend.

Would not recommend them. We requested they put up a fence in our backyard where it is somewhat rocky and unleveled and they advised us that it wouldn't be possible. They recommend putting the fence more into our yard. Well sure enough we used another company who was successfully able to do what we requested. Seems like it was just laziness there.

Anytime I need fence materials, this is the place to go. The prices are comparable to other box stores and the quality is significantly better with many more options to choose from. I've also had them make custom wooden gates for me for very reasonable prices.

I got there late Saturday afternoon after they were closed and the lady let me in to buy some split rail fencing. She was great. Courteous professional and informative. I'm a fan.

Lowest price of those I quoted for our work, came in and out in 2 days and we had a beautiful new fence!

I priced around various places for my fence materials. GM was the cheapest and the sales desk was the most helpful. I showed them my measurements with a survey. They computed everything I needed and delivered the materials on the next day. Couldn't have been a smoother process.

Needed replacement lattice for a vinyl fence installed by GM Fence many years ago. On a busy Saturday, the gentleman at the counter looked for the lattice, brought it out and gave me a very fair price for it. Thank you, GM Fence. Very pleased customer.

They have been non-repsonsive to my calls and emails. I want to get a fence installed on my property but I cannot even get an appointment scheduled. Unfortunately for them I will have to take my business elsewhere.

I was initially happy with the price and installation, but the post and rail fence they installed has not lasted very well- especially the posts. Several of the posts connected to gates had to be repaired only 4-5 years after installation. They had essentially rotted out. I'm not sure if this is due to the quality of the wood, if it would have helped to treat or coat the part that is underground, or what. this first repair was around $500. "We have to be able to make money to send a guy out there (to repair the fence)" was the response I got.

Most recently, a tree fell and broke a section - they wanted almost $600 to repair one gated post and some wiring. I got another fence company to do it for half the price. This other fencing company will have my future business.

Gerard did our estimate and we liked him and Donna in the office was helpful and even though only 2 guys showed up to install it they were able to finish it in a day. Things seemed okay so I paid in full over the phone. The next day when I could take a good look I noticed two sections facing away from the courtyard were damaged all scratched up and some sharp points from the rocks and sand in the truck.

When I called I was told to mark the two sections and they would come out and replace them. A week later Gerard came out to give us an estimate for additional fencing and looked at the damaged sections and agreed they should be replaced. Someone came by and spray painted over the damage instead of replacing them. I called to complain and another two weeks have gone by and I've heard nothing from the company! Needless to say I can't recommend them and wouldn't use them again. Very disappointed!

GM Fence did an outstanding job. The crew kept their work space clean through out the project and made sure the fencing was straight and level. Donna and the rest of the office staff was a pleasure to work with, they were polite and considerate when we asked to reschedule on multiple occasions. The salesmen Paul was knowledgeable and answered every question we had. Their pricing was a bargain and I would recommend them for any fence work that needs to get done. Sincerely Anthony Fiumara

Awful organization. Called several times while waiting for a callback from a sales rep. Finally get in to touch with someone, only to find our it's 2 weeks just to get an estimate? Business must be good, but I'm at a loss for why.

I recently stopped by the showroom in an attempt to see if my gate could be fixed. There were 3 employees chatting with each other doing nothing. When I asked about gate replacement they shortly commented that one could be built but they are very busy and likely could not do the install. I asked about getting an estimate and again the comment of being extremely busy was brought up.

In essence it was clear they were trying to blow me off. The customer service was rude and unprofessional. I walked out annoyed and saddened to know that people are spending their money at this awful establishment. Also surprising that there were 3 employees standing around doing nothing obvious yet they are extremely busy. I'd strongly recommend any other company besides GM.

The week end arrogance of the staff is overwhelming. Gave them a 2nd try after many years and nothing had changed.
