Bad attitude and extremely expensive. I requested pricing on a few small pieces of 1/8 glass to replace cracked window. From the first interaction the woman that I spoke with had an unwelcoming tone, and the quote ended up being $50+ for each piece. I asked about the price and the response was take it or leave it. Ended up going to Mayer's hardware and the cost $12 for the exact same piece.

For replacing two pieces of glass in my broken windows it cost me $54.00. I sure miss our neighborhood hardware stores! The service was wonderful and prices was fair.

Needed 2 small pieces (maybe 6 x 18 inches each) of standard thickness mirror for a retro style medicine cabinet. Called a week ahead and was told to stop in. Made a special trip only to be quoted with a price of about $365! Was told the price was higher because they didn't have it in stock. Decided to comparison shop and stopped by Genesee Glass & Mirror, who quoted me $63 for the same product. Moral of the story, don't waste your time going to Flower City Glass, especially for small residential projects, they clearly don't want that type of business.

Dropped by to get a large piece of glass for a fancy table shortened after an unfortunate accident. It was a drop in and they had it all resolved in less than 20 minutes and as good as new, albeit shortened. Great and friendly service.

Purchased a solid oak table on Craigslist that needed to be resurfaced. Wanted to put a piece of glass on top of the table once all was said and done. Called FCG and was initially told a measure of the table was $50, the guy came out and said the table isn't a horse track (2 straight aways and 2 bends) and said the table needed to be custom measured. Said he'd have to go back to the office and would return.

After waiting for 2 hours I finally called their office and asked where he was and they said I needed to pay an additional $75 for a custom measure on top of the $50 I've already spent. When we got pass that issue as nothing was performed besides the guy showing up and saying he needed to go to the office, did we schedule a custom measure, the entire time the person performing the measure was condiscending as if we weren't worth the time and effort.

Finally got the measurement done, was told the glass would take 9-14 days to cut and edge, no problem there. 17 days later I get a call saying the glass is done, they close at 5pm shape Mon-Fri (so plan to take time off from work to collect your item). The sales person kept trying to nickle and dime me for everything, measurement charge (twice which was eventually waved), service charge, custom craftmenship, delivery etc.

I arrived, parking out back as I knew the glass was a large piece and the employees in the shop were amazing compared to the face of their business. TL;DR their in house sales person is a jackass, their shop and office staff seem perfectly great.

Went there for a price for a replacement piece of glass and price was $180. Called Mr. Glass. $100 for same window. Guess where I went? Both businesses had same order timing, 7-10 business days. Friendly staff that's knowledgeable, nice showroom, lots of parking.

Biggest CLOWNS I've ever seen. Did more damage than good On a windshield replacement. Then tried to weasel out on making it right. No professionals.on installations or management.

Just priced a 9" X 16" vanity mirror replacement with Flower City and almost spit my breakfast up when they said $88. Figured maybe they didn't hear the specs right or maybe I gave specs wrong. Reconfirmed with them and they said rounded corners meant automatic $55 upcharge. So, I got bids from Rose Glass and Sands Glass, both of whom quoted $15, rounded corners and all. Yikes! Folks there have always been great to deal with, but maybe they're sending a message they don't want the small stuff. I got the message.

During our home renovation several years ago, we had Flower City Glass do the shower glass door for our master bathroom shower. The fit was perfect and installation went smoothly. Even after many years the glass still looks new and there have been no issues after much use. I would highly recommend Flower City Glass for glass shower doors!

If all you need is a piece of glass, say for a picture frame, don't even think of going here. They wanted to charge $25 per piece no matter what size. That is insane. I needed about 20 pieces of 8x10 and they want $25 each? Lunacy. If all you need is replacement glass for windows or picture frames, go to Blacks Hardware.
