Services
Donovan Mirror & Glass has been in business since 1968, providing quality mirror and glass products to homeowners throughout the Milwaukee-Racine-Waukesha metropolitan area for over 50 years. We partner with numerous professional builders and remodelers, supplying custom and stock mirrors and shower enclosures for many of the new homes, as well as large and small renovations. Our showroom provides customers with a hands on view of the most popular shower door styles, mirror and glass patterns of today.
Framed designs provide transparency, while reinforcing glass with fully framed panels. Framed glass shower enclosures with pivoting doors provide the aesthetic appeal of glass walls with the benefits of full framing. In situations with uneven floors that make installing glass walls difficult, full framing makes an effective solution.
Frameless shower enclosures are almost always the type of shower doors featured in home design shows and advertisements. These shower enclosures will add to the aesthetic appeal of any bathroom, creating a more open concept and space to show off your lovely tile within. Also referred to as Heavy Glass enclosures, frameless enclosures use 3/8" or 1/2" thick glass and use the minimal amount of metal compared to traditional shower doors.
Semi-frameless is a type of framed shower door enclosure that includes only the minimum amount of metal necessary for the stability of the unit. The semi-frameless enclosure has a metal header, and all of the fixed glass has a thin metal frame. The one clear factor in defining a semi-frameless as such is that the glass door itself cannot have a metal frame.

Solid company in my opinion. They gave me some seriously bad ass custom shower doors. Despite missing the mark on my downstairs shower door by having it slide from the wrong side, they corrected it and gave me exactly what we requested/needed. Just look at the pics of them fabulous doors. Now that I'm all grown up, you better believe I deserve a glass entry to my clean up spot! DMG gave me all that and then some.

As with any glass door, to expect it will give you a permanent, leak free seal is just asinine. We get very minimal water on the floor when entering or exiting and it's mostly from us dripping. We payed top dollar for these doors but the product is top notch! Good job DMG! Thanks for the doors!

Very happy. Called for a custom sized mirror. It was cut and packaged the next next day. Nice price too.

Great job on a difficult install. We had a very large and heavy piece of glass for our walk in shower which needed to be navigated up a turning stairwell with little margin for error. The owner himself came out with 3 other employees to make sure everything went smoothly. They did a wonderful job with great care taken to not damage anything. The finished shower and mirror look amazing. Administrative staff is very pleasant and helpful in everyway. Good communication! Highly recommended in every way

Only had a small job to get two pieces of tabletop glass cut, but everyone was professional and very courteous. They gave me tips to get the sizing right.

Great place! I needed a few small pieces of glass for an aquarium project and they had them done the same day.

I needed a cut piece of glass 7.5 x 11.75. Called DMG on a Wednesday to place the order. I explained that I needed it by Thursday afternoon or Friday morning at the latest, because I was traveling on Friday afternoon and would not be back for several weeks. The order taker said she would route it to the schedule board for cutting ASAP. I prepaid the order ($8) and left a phone number.

On Thursday at about Noon, I called to check on the status of my order. I was told that it wouldnt be available until next week. Why didn't you call? I said that it would have been better if I had known that when I placed the order. I got a stammering "Sorry". I cancelled the order. I called Bob's Glass in Waukesha, where Jill told me they could cut it this afternoon and I could pick it up before close. They delivered on schedule at it was less than $3. I installed it that evening. Who would you do business with?

High quality work, but prices are very high when compared to other local glass shops.

Quality products, fair pricing, excellent customer service, great showroom, and good location. I do approx 10-15 shower doors/mirrors with DMG every year and I can always count on their promptness, excellent customer service, quality of products and their attention to detail. Plus they have an excellent showroom where my customers can see exactly what they want, before ordering. I highly recommend letting them fulfill your mirror and shower doors needs.

We had used DMG in the past for multiple projects, and although they were not the cheapest, everything had been completed to a satisfactory level. Our last experience, however, was very different, and we were left with a glass shower enclosure that has poor function, aesthetics, and is frankly unsafe. When we contacted them with our concerns, they stated that we ok'd the emailed estimate and drawings, however, we never received any drawings.

They only agreed to correct their mistakes if we paid an additional $1000 on a $2100 job. We will no longer use DMG for our glass needs, and I cannot recommend them for yours.

Recently remodeled a basement bathroom and had them install the new shower door. Very happy with the final result. It turned out better than I thought possible.

When I recently had 2 bathrooms in my house remodeled, I originally went to Wisconsin Shower Door based on the recommendation of my remodeler. When I had issues with their installer (see review for Wisconsin Shower Door) I went to Donovan Mirror & Glass and worked with Rick Hemenway. Donovan Mirror and Glass did a fantastic job fabricating and installing the shower doors in both bathrooms and ended up being $1800 less expensive than Wisconsin Shower Door. Since then I have had several mirrors cut and other glass done - each time done well and good service and also less expensive than other glass shops.
