Divine Brothers., Utica, New York, was established in 1892 by Bradford H. Divine, whose purpose was to provide quality buffing wheels to industry. Since its inception, Divine Brothers has continued to grow its product lines, and now provides a truly comprehensive line of Finishing Products - one of the most comprehensive lines available in the finishing industry.
Services
Available in an almost unlimited variety of material, diameter, thickness and sewing styles. Stitching is tight - 5 or more stitches to the inch and we can sew them to 1/8 of a buff's periphery. Divine's Full Disc Buffing Wheels have enjoyed the reputation of "work horses of the industry" since 1892.
Operated in the "cut" direction, the rotation firms up the pockets into an aggressive edge for cutting operations. Reverse the direction and the pockets open up, providing a softer face for flexible coloring action. Buffs are thicker than ordinary full disc buffs so require fewer sections per wheel (costing less per inch of piece). These buffs can be supplied in all standard cloth grades, in specialty and treated materials.
Divine's jewelry buffs are recognized in the industry as a quality buffing & polishing product ideal for producing the superior finish highly exclusive jewelers require. Our Stock List is comprehensive with a full line of muslin, chamois, and non-woven buffs. If it is not a stock buff, we will custom-make to your specification.
Our dental buffs, used on tapered spindles, are made with sturdy shellac centers or lead centers. Made from muslin, Canton flannel, or chamois, they are available in a wide variety of diameters from 7/8" to 6", in plys from 5 to 50. With a variety of dental buffs in stock, we can also produce a buff to your specifications.
Open-faced Cutmaster is a wrapped buff making them softer and even more flexible for high color operation. This construction leaves minimal or no streaks on flat polishing because of the spiral effect of the wrapped cloth, and no separation at the rim. An open face buff with pre-ruffled material wrapped around the center.
