We started production of Aluminum-clad Steel (AS) wire in 1988 using the continuous extrusion process developed in 1956. The original headquarters and plant facilities were in the San Francisco Bay area. During the 1990's, the company operated either as a joint venture or as a subsidiary of Hitachi LTD. Conex Cable, LLC continues the use of technology from Hitachi Cable in the production of AS wire. In 2004, under new private 100% U.S. ownership, the headquarters and plant facilities were moved to a new facility in DeKalb, IL.

GS Wire Report

In 2015, Conex Cable, LLC completed a $3,500,000 expansion to our manufacturing facility in DeKalb, Illinois. The expansion included the installation of a continuous process for the production of Galvanized Steel Wire. This modern facility utilizes the latest technology, to include the manufacture of both Class A Galvanized (zinc-coated steel) and our brand CONZINAL (CONex ZINc ALuminum), 95% zinc, 5% aluminum plus Mischmetal.

Warranty Report

Seller warrants to Buyer that for one (1) year following the date the goods are sold to Buyer; the goods will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service.

Reel Return Policy Report

Returnable reels are the property of Conex Cable, LLC. To assure the prompt return of these reels to Conex, a deposit is required for each returnable reel shipped to a customer. Reels returned within 1 year from the date of invoice will receive a 100% deposit refund. Reels returned within 2 years from the date of invoice will receive a 75% deposit refund.
