The Burkhart Company was founded in 1977 by Tom Burkhart in Louisville, Kentucky. Tom always had a passion for custom woodworking, having picked up his first power saw at the age of nine. After studying woodworking at the Penland School of Craft, Tom turned his passion into a business. What started as a hobby and side projects, eventually turned into the Burkhart company, providing Louisville with the finest quality craftsmanship and custom woodwork across the city.Tom originally opened up shop in the basement of a rented house and continued to expand his reach over his next three locations.

We offer two main types of bath and kitchen cabinets, framed and frameless cabinets.

I called twice and both times was told someone would call me back. It's been 2 weeks and not a peep. They may be good, but we'll never know. Since the above post, Burkhart did get back with us, and, although they are not able to provide the particular service we need, they took the time to thoughtfully discuss our problem with us and then went on to recommend a couple people who may be able help. We very much appreciate their time and professionalism. We would not hesitate to reach out to them for cabinetry in the future.

We recently built a new home and had Burkhart assist with the design and construction for all of the areas in our home that need cabinetry. The finished product is incredible. We also had Burkhart build and install plantation shutters throughout our home. All around excellent quality that can only come from a true, custom shop. From design to install, this is the best quality available in our region.

I first used the Burkhart Co. to design, build, and install my kitchen cabinets. They did a great job from start to finish and I really couldn't be happier with my new cabinets. I've since used them to build two bathroom vanities and some amazing plantation shutters for several rooms in my house and again, they look great. I highly recommend them. You pay a little more, but the craftsmanship and made to fit designs are well worth it.

The crew at the Burkhart Co. designed and installed cabinets in our kitchen, bar and bathrooms. Everyone at the company went above and beyond to help us create the look we wanted. They even brought cabinet, hardware and counter samples to us when we were unable to make it to the showroom. Most importantly, they did all of this in a timely and affordable manner in the middle of worldwide pandemic! Our cabinets are gorgeous! We are beyond satisfied with Burkhart and would recommend them to anyone needing cabinetry.
