I've always been fascinated by wood. My first full-time job was in a large cabinetmaking shop. Even though I was just 19 years old, the owner made me the shop foreman, but it didn't take long for me to realize that I wanted a greater challenge. Bayne's Quality Custom Furniture began in the basement of my home.
Designing your space can take many directions. You may start with a very clear idea of what you want and need. The information then needs to be communicated to a company that has the experience to translate your idea to paper. That company could be your local home center with design software adapted for ready-made production cabinetry.
The home library is the Batman of architecture: sometimes it's the mild-mannered Bruce Wayne, a place to read a book or hold a intimate soiree, and sometimes it's the super-powered superhero; maybe it doesn't leap tall buildings in a single bound, but it does bind all the function of an office building into a single room-and it's all just down the hall.
