Thirty plus years as a swimming pool remodeling contractor has taught us a few things about pool construction. We've gone from simple replasters to complete pool replacement and everything in between. Today we use our own crews for all phases of the job unless the work involves gunite or concrete flatwork.
Preparation of the interior pool surface is critical to the long term adhesion of the new interior surface. Over the years, we have determined that removal of the surface material is the most effective process. This can be accomplished mechanically by using air-driven jackhammers or by using Water Jetting technology to blast away the existing surface.

This is the review for Adam's Pool - we signed our contract and chose the materials in September 2021. We 'completed' the job in mid-June. The scope of work was to resurface the pool and spa while replacing the coping, steps, and equipment. Besides Brad Green (btw, he was the only person there who we found responsive and reasonable), every person we interacted with didn't care for the job or us as customers.

They did everything with an attitude and tried getting out of doing tasks and installing equipment, as per contract. Speaking of contract, we had it thrown in our faces several times by Blake. This is the same person who didn't install the pool sweep, per the contract. l While doing the job, the electrician never switched over our backyard landscaping breaker. They don't work anymore - and surprise, no one from Adam's is returning our emails & voicemails. Avoid them like the plague.

Yes, I know you're busy. But why are you so busy that you can't even show up to work one day a week? Six or seven days of work have taken nearly three months to complete. About as unprofessional a company as I have ever worked with. Every one claims that they do not have the authority to discuss adjusting the payments due to the staggering delays between visits. But, they manage to deposit the checks in under an hour (literally).

After practically begging for months to get a schedule for the work to be done, you are at the mercy of their whims since they will not provide any kind of schedule or assurance of a completion date. They only provide notice that they will deign to show up the afternoon before, but you better have check in hand there and then. I was an idiot for allowing this project to go forward.

This company is obviously so greedy and unconcerned with customer satisfaction that they take on every job they can, and worry (or not) about scheduling them after they've got the money. If you don't have it in writing, you can't trust anything they say, and even then I suspect you'd need a lawyer to get them to hold up their word. It's my own fault for not insisting on dates in the contract before I signed anything. Don't repeat my mistake. Make sure dates and penalties are clearly spelled out before signing. One star for the actual work done, which was good. Minus four stars for being wildly unprofessional.

Adams pool stepped in and helped me out when I really needed them. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They worked really hard with me to meet my deadlines and did great work. Their crews were nice and very respectful. I would definitely recommend them for your pool needs!

We are 3/4 of the way through a pool build with Adams Pools. We chose them out of five other companies because they were extremely professional and timely with their bids and presentation. John Rafalski is our sales rep and has held our hand through the entire process. Even answering our call when he was on vacation! If you are looking to build a pool I highly recommend calling John Rafalski. Once the pool is fully completed I will post a picture and follow up review.

Several years ago we moved into a home located on the side of a hill which unfortunately did not have a pre-existing pool. We met with several pool contractors and decided to go with Royal Pools (aka Adams Pool Solutions) despite the fact they were more expensive. We selected Royal Pools because of their experience building many pools including in more challenging locations including hillsides.

Also based on what we had heard from others we felt if there ever was a problem, they would stand behind their product. The other very appealing aspect of working with Royal Pools was that their sales/design person (Mike Blackburn) came up with a beautiful design that really fits well into our landscaping. Fast forward to now, we had an issue with the pool tile. Royal Pools Warranty Dept came out, approved and just completed replacing the tile.

Worst experience of my life----We hired Adams Pool to repair and resurface our pool---unprofessional, unethical and employed extortion techniques to get paid---I would fill my pool in first before ever using them again.

We used Adam's to resurface our pool with pebble tech, new tile and new coping. All pool companies have been slammed over the past two years and we had heard horror stories about the entire process from neighbors, so we were nervous about all of it. Adam's exceeded our expectations - the finished work looks and works great, the customer service was phenomenal.

They did a great job of keeping us notified of stages of work and when they would begin. The best part was our amazing project manager, Arturo. With over 100 pools he manages, he always picked up his phone, made site visits, and was 10/10 on friendliness and professionalism. We would highly recommend Adam's. With delays in the industry (and every industry) their ability to communicate on timing and planning was critical.

I set up an appointment with them and Mark came out to give me a quote he was there for a good 30/40 minute sletting me know what was going in and what most likely we would have to do to fix our cracks in the pool. he said he would send me a detailed quote in the next couple fo days. i understand this was during the holidays but I texted him a few days later he rrsponded and said he had a family emergency and I should receive a quote shortly. 10'days later sent him another text asking if they we still planning to bid on my project. no response. terrible experience so glad they showed their cards before I decided to book them. I would have given them a 0 if I could.

The only pool company I have been in contact with that actually seems to care about customer satisfaction and craftsmanship! We started our pool process with Anthony & Sylvan back in Feb of 2021 and every step since we cut the first check has been horrible. Adam's was sent out to look at our pebble finish and fix some of the work. The guys were very patient and respectful, they answered all my questions.

They understood my complaints, even the ridiculous ones - I'm a bit overwhelmed and fed up with all that has gone wrong, so maybe I'm a bit nit picky at this point. I truly feel that they are going above and beyond to make sure I am happy. I can't say that about any other pool company I've been in contact with. My husband and I had given up hope that people still had any work ethic. Adam's Pool Solutions seem to care about the craftsmanship of their product and their customer's satisfaction. For any work in the future, I will contact them first!

Yes I read Adam's pool solutions as a top score of five given the fact that Ron is an exceptional representative and associate within the company those to more extremes to make sure you are a satisfied customer and at your pool and spa are of the utmost quality. Top rated of companies that I have dealt with and again Ron goes far more than you could expect anyone within a company to go to make sure that you are a totally satisfied customer and he is definitely an agent of gods here on Earth he's a wonderful man and I consider him as a dear friend simply from my acquaintances through my purchasing and his help from getting my pool and spa replaster he represents top quality in a person in the company and in human dignity in life.

If you are considering having any work done by a pool company you cannot possibly go wrong if you choose Adams and have Ron as the person that you deal with and he will work with you and work through any issues and problems and situations beyond your expectations I would not even consider any other pool company Adams pool and with Ron would have the highest Stars and would be the only pool company that I would even consider. I very strongly suggest you do any and all pool work with Adam's pool company and again with Ron. I don't put my name to many things but my name is John E Simmons Sr.

ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL ALL AROUND. Started the project 4 months ago- haven't seen a single person from Adam pools in the last 5 weeks! I cant even imagine what I got myself into. I think litigation is my only way out.

Pretty poor planning and customer service. Got called in the evening and was told, not asked, that work will be starting the next morning and that they needed payment. I got a bit heated, due to the short notice and I cant just take off work at the drop of a hat. They hung up on me! The actual workers are awesome. No mess. Careful. I have so far paid over 1/2 and pool is still concrete. Waiting for someone to return my call to schedule inspection and finishing work. They need to do better. If they cant handle the volume then maybe don't bite more than you can chew?

Not the experience we expected. We were aware from the start that there was an increase in demand for new and remodeled pools, so we knew that there would be delays and rescheduling on our project. However, communication was pretty much non-existent and the excuse we were given was that the company was overwhelmed with the number of projects they had taken on. That's not an acceptable excuse. As a reputable business, communication with your customers is imperative and we got to the point where we gave up and hoped that someone from Adams Pools would just show up.

The most important thing to consider for this project was the final outcome of the pool remodel. Sure there were delays and rescheduling, but during this period when there was an increase in demand for new and remodeled pools, I understood especially when explained by the staff. Peter Crevelli was my project supervisor who did an outstanding job communicating with me on all aspects of the project from beginning to end, always in a polite and friendly manner.

Those of you who live within his jurisdiction will be very lucky. Once I was on Adams Pool Solutions contract, I was kept on schedule as best as possible. Some delays were not at fault by Adams Pool. As I was a "hands-on" person, I saw that there were different crews (about 10) doing each phase of the remodeling. Each crew was a specialist in their specific task.

They did not cut corners. Although I had a specified contract, after talking with Peter and some of the crew, I did some additional upgrades which I didn't think it was possible. The extra costs were well spent. I never heard of a Baja Shelf and never knew the pool can be made more shallow. The pool now is very kid-friendly and great for non-swimmers.

Almost no possibilities of adult drowning. Pool depth is perfect for aerobics at any age, especially the elderly. Our pool remodel was personalized by adding mosaics which include turtles, dolphins, fishes, a seahorse, crab and starfish. Could not be happier and the project would not have been the same without the help from Peter Crevelli.

I contacted Adam Pools because the company that put in our in ground spa said that is the only company they would recommend.to do all new cool decking on my 15 year patio. They were so right. Everyone from the sales person.to the in office staff.to their employees doing the work did an absolutely fantastic job. They were skilled, courteous and professional. I am extremely hard to please because of being so particular but they accomplished everything I needed and more. THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT COMPANY TO WORK WITH!

We had Adams pool redo our small pool and hot tub about four years ago. The also put a travertine tile around the pool with a total cost of approximately 60K. The did a pretty good Job as long as they were getting paid but now that we need some help fixing a couple items they are less than useless. First they won't return your call, when I finally did reach someone his only response was, we don't do that type of work anymore.

When I asked to speak to the manager or owner I was told that they won't give out those numbers. I'm sorry but that is absolutely horrible customer service. Had I known that they wouldn't help after the project was completed I never would have used them. I caution anyone who is looking to have pool work done not to use this company.

I wasn't asking them to fix anything for free, I would have gladly paid them for their help but they refuse to do anything. Good luck running a company like that! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone! Kurt L

Called them 2 months ago. They took down my information with a promise that someone will get back to me. After 2 weeks someone (Gary) finally did and came over and promised a quote within 2 weeks. It's now a month and I have reached out to Gary by phone and email. Unfortunately I think he is either sick or has quit his job because I don't see any other reason for him not to take 5 minutes and respond to a phone or email. I am sure there are better companies that I can spend my hard-earned money with. These guys ain't them though

We live in Novato and Adams Pool Solutions was recommended by a friend who used them a few years ago. We were impressed with their salesperson and what he said they could do for our pool and spa resurfacing. This was in October (months into COVID times). We signed a contract for their services and were told that they they could likely start in mid-December.

By the time we got to December, we were told they could start the work by mid February. As mid February approached, we contacted them to ensure they were starting as planned. We were told that there was an issue with the permit being lost by the County of Marin - they said they submitted November 17 and we were told by the county they received a permit request on February 11 (3 days before they were supposed to start).

They then told us because of the permit, they couldn't start as planned and they would start in a few weeks. As mid-March arrived, they came and drained our pool, completely blasted all of the plaster and cane that same week to connect two lights with wires but the lights are still in boxes covered with plastic. That was the last we saw of them until today, April 19.

When they didn't show up as planned the week after demolition in March, we contacted them repeatedly and we were told that the reason for the delay was the tile we selected (that when we selected we were told it was a good tile that was pretty popular). One would think if there was a backorder delay they would initiate contacting us to let us know and to suggest alternatives they also threw in that the coping was also delayed.

We demanded a timeline that they provided. They were supposed to return to work on the resurfacing of the pool starting 4/14 with and end date of 4/27. That was last week. When they were contacted on Tuesday before they were supposed to return to complete the job on Wednesday, we were told the tile was still delayed so they would begin on Monday, April 19 and would complete the job this week. Today, , when the crew showed up, we got a call saying that the tiles were still on backorder (they did not mention that last week) and that now the rest of the job would need to wait until next week - the week of April 26 and completing it "soon" after that.

We have owned multiple homes and have worked with multiple contractors and NONE have been either as incompetent or dishonest as Adams Pool Solutions and their crew from top to bottom. The lack of communication unless we contacted them has been incredibly unprofessional. We will NEVER EVER recommend this company for any reason. They have not been honest, they have not followed their promise that when the work began it would be completed in three weeks.

Of course they never mentioned that they would not begin the project for about 5 months or we would never have signed on with them in the first place. We are now talking to an attorney to help us bring this disaster to an end.

Absolutely horrible experience. We signed our contract early last year with an estimated start date of July 2020. Here it is March 2021 and still no pool. Communication has been non-existent and the excuse we were given is that the company is overwhelmed with the amount of projects they've taken on. When we escalated our complaint to the manager and let them know we had no trust to move forward, his response was he was that is was sad we were canceling. No apology, no explanation, no attempt to make it right, nothing. I don't know how a business like this continues to operate.

Adams totally "remodeled" our existing pool last year - pebble tec, tile, coping. It's awesome and they did a great job! I give Manny a lot of credit for overseeing the entire project. The scheduling was a little loose but I accept these are difficult projects to schedule. This review is really about a more recent follow-up. A crack appeared in the pool and it became significant - that sucks for sure. But, they came back and Fortino spent 3 days making the repair.

He repaired the underlying plaster, replaced the coping, pebble tec and tile. We originally selected Adams in part because we believed they would honor the warranty - and they did. They did this repair as warranty work. Naomi was great to work with during this process. I have recommended Adams to friends and family and will continue to do so.

So happy that we decided to go with Adams pools for our pool remodel. Gary was great from the start working with us to come to an agreement. Then Jeromy was the project leader. I was able to reach him anytime I needed - great communication throughout the entire time from start to finish of getting permits. Kim was also very helpful and patient. I needed to change my tile and coping at the last minute and never felt like I inconvenienced them in the least.

They made sure I was happy with my selection. Guillermo, the mason, designed a beautiful wall behind our spa - his workmanship and eye for design is excellent. Very pleased working with Adams Pools from start to finish, all the workers are very professional and kept everything clean. Couldn't have been happier with our finished pool - I highly recommend Adams pools.

Jose and Ygnacio showed up to help us determine how to fix our rusted pool hand railing. They did our pebble tech install and are not even the people who installed the railing so technically not even their responsibility. But they came out, got into our cold pool to remove the railing, clean the rust, show us what was wrong and put it back.all free of charge.

Not only did they help us clean it and tell us what to do to fix it, but I learned a lot in the process too! Always fun. Thanks for your time today gentlemen, it was a pleasure!

We had our pool plaster done in 2015. This summer we got into our hot tub and the plaster was coming off. I immediately emailed Adams. They stated my warranty had ended 5 DAYS ago! They will not warranty anything. After spending so much on plaster 5 years ago, you think they would stand by their work. Terrible terrible quality. I would never recommend a company like this!

One of the most horrible companies we have worked with. Their workmanship and quality is terrible. Where to start as there are so many issues. They have no respect for expensive perfect landscaping, or personal property. They absoultely destroyed our artificial turf and would do nothing about it. They cleaned concrete buckets in our terrace landscaping, they got cool decking color on our newly painted house.

They left concrete debris all over the landscape until we asked them to clean it up. They got concrete on our house, windows, block fence, pottery planters and the turf. The new concrete they left squares around the two posts and did not make it the same as the third one, looks terrible. The grooves in the concrete were not even straight and it was very noticeable. That is just a few of the issues. Do not use this company you will get screwed and not be happy!

I have never left a Public review, but I had to share our experience with Adams pool solutions. about 5 years ago they remodeled our friends pool. I was impressed with their workmanship so decided to contract them for my pool remodel in October 2018. I had confidence they would do the job right, especially since they were one of the most expensive bids we received, but found out throughout the project that was the opposite of true.

Without too much detail, the tile around the inside of the pool and on our spillway had to be re-done several times due to very poor workmanship and attention to detail. After the tile issues were resolved a crew came to spray the pebble tech. with the job close to being finished I noticed they had covered up a pool jet that was previously above our walk-in step.

I'll stop here, I'm sure most of you will get the idea that this company does not deserve your business. They certainly didn't deserve mine. Our pool construction was complete in February 2019.

After receiving various other quotes we decided on Adam's Pool Solutions. From the start Ron was very helpful and concerned of our needs when we need to be home. Every crew that arrived was very polite friendly and most of all professional at there job. The pool turned out beautiful and we are very pleased. Special thanks to Ron for his time helping with the pool chemical start-up, Michael our project scheduler, and Frank who came to install our hand rail. Every project has its problems but Adam's went out of their way to fix everything to what we wanted GREAT JOB

After soliciting several bids to build our new pool, we decided to use Adams. They were not the cheapest bid nor the most expensive. We chose them because Bryce was informative and sincere. He listened closely to what we wanted and provided it in our budget. He was readily available whenever we had questions and he didn't come off like a condescending slippery salesman, unlike the others we had out.

After Bryce, was Mike. He was excellent at managing the contractors as well as any of our concerns. Construction jobs always have minor setbacks, especially the weather however, that did not stop them from making sure everything was on time and perfect. Mike was physically present to supervise and make sure we were happy with all of it. We couldn't be happier with the finished product.

First I want to compliment the company on their work. The pool and decking results far exceeded my expectations. But their customer service is as poor as their work is good. I signed my contract the first week in May. They finished the second week of July. The only way I could find out when they were coming was calling the office virtually everyday, and even then they didn't always meet those dates.

The excuses were varied: "Over the weekend our facility was broken into and all of our equipment was damaged or stolen." "We are really busy and are way behind." "There has been so much rain and wind, that has put us behind.". My response. "What am I chopped liver?" I paid them nearly $20,000 to do my pool and decking. I think I deserved better. I even offered, if they would hire me, to come into the office, sit in on their scheduling meeting and call the customers to let they know what was going to happen on their project. This was very disappointing, and I would say if you are in a hurry, this is not the company for you. As a result, I lost half the summer's use of my pool.
