Not an honest businessmen. If you are not careful. he will reap you off with another slab (not the one you selected). Make sure you be present when he load the slab (or he will switch it with something else in his stock which are in less demand). I had similar experience. Worst experience!

Worst experience! Me and my wife went to acme for the first time because we were told the prices were better then other local slab dealers and they were. We bought a slab that came from inside his shop and paid 1000$ for a slab of Mont Blanc. A few days later our slab arrives for install and the entire piece was full of fishers! When I return to acme to tell the owner and get a new stone he insisted that I chose the slab with fishers in it!

When I bought the slab there was 6 of them the rack when I returned there was only one and it was cracked! Owner blamed me and said I should have seen them when I bought it! I didn't pay 1000$ for a slab that was full of fishers and cracks and he knew the slab was messed up he shouldn't be selling them full price! Shady shady shady! I went and purchased a brand new piece of quartz from SK stone down the road without a reimbursement of any type from acme! SK actually gave me a discount for the inconvenience and it wasn't even their fault! Worst experience!

Awful experience. We were misled, misguided, and ultimately we ended up ripping out and replacing the countertops we purchased from ACME. Total waste of time and money. They do not stand behind their products or their word. The whole story: We went to ACME Stone to pick out a countertop material for our kitchen remodel. We liked the look of a particular stone and were told by Bob, the inventory manager, that the stone was a "hard marble" and would be suitable for a kitchen.

We questioned him specifically about the hardness of the material for a kitchen project, thinking that marble is known for being a softer stone, but he insisted that because it was of the "hard" variety that we would be fine. After the stone was fabricated and installed, we started having problems with etching and staining from olive oil and also chipping around the kitchen sink within the first week.

I reached out to Raj, the owner, several times in the first month we had the counters. He told me the issues we were having were the fabricator's fault for not sealing the material properly, and that I was being too rough with pots and pans around the sink. I contacted the fabricator and had him come out to our house to look at the counters. He suggested trying a stain remover, but ultimately said it was the type of material we chose (marble).

I researched and tried several products to remove the stains and etchings but had no improvement. We contacted a stone restoration specialist to come out and see if we could restore the marble and get rid of the etching and staining. He said he could sand down the counter but as soon as we started using the kitchen again it would happen again. We contacted ACME several times, spoke with the owner and manager, left messages, sent emails with pictures, and were told they would work with us to "make it right", but they have done nothing.

At this point it's been over a year since the install. We requested a refund and they will not respond to our calls or emails any more. At this point we needed to replace the countertops, as they are an eyesore in an otherwise beautiful brand new kitchen. We went to 4 other local stone dealers, and were told by sales people in each dealer that under no circumstances should we have put marble in our kitchen, and they would NEVER recommend it to a customer. One store even told us they have customers sign a waiver if they decide to purchase marble for the kitchen. We are disgusted by the customer service at ACME Stone.
