In business since 1971, Ackley Cabinet is a unique kitchen remodeling company that transforms your existing cabinets into new custom cabinetry. Using only the highest quality materials, we developed our system to offer an innovative blend of your cabinet interiors with custom designed exteriors that offers a superior result and value.
In 1971, the business started as a small "mom and pop" shop primarily performing furniture refinishing in rural Kentucky. Then in 1973, the business relocated to Stamford CT and the founder, Greg Ackley, began developing a mobile refinishing process to easily service customers' needs. It eventually transitioned away from furniture to specialize in refinishing kitchen cabinets and started expanding operations. By the early 1980s, the company was refinishing up to 125 kitchens per year with 6 full-time employees.
We had previously renovated this client's pool house kitchen, and when they were ready to tackle the kitchen in their main house in Wilton CT, they were happy to call us again. Our client coordinated with an interior designer and they selected a gorgeous soft white semi-gloss finish on a solid birch custom designed door style.

Ackley is a family owned and run business that literally transformed our kitchen. They have a proprietary system that creates brand new cabinets without tearing down the existing ones. The husband and wife team did all the work themselves, were meticulous, professional, and lovely. We even gave them a key and had them work when we were in vacation. I can't recommend them highly enough!

I should come up with some superlatives that haven't been used in other reviews, but they really describe the seamless process of refreshing our kitchen with Ackley Cabinet. From the first interaction with Scott and Kim, they were professional, courteous, punctual, polite, and safe (. Covid). Scott has a "demo box" used to give an amazing in person demonstration of the process.
After some quick measurements, we had an estimate. It's that easy. When the install came, it was quick, clean, and tidy. On time and on budget. I can't more highly recommend Ackley Cabinet for your upcoming kitchen renovation!

Kitchen Refacing. These guys did an amazing job and I love my new kitchen. Their product and procedure is fantastic and so much better than painting existing cabinets and the price is reasonable. We recently had our kitchen update done with Scott and Kim. What a positive experience it was. From the first meeting with Scott I knew we made a great choice to have them update our kitchen. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient throughout the entire process. They worked with our schedule and there were minimal disruptions. We were able to use our kitchen each night after they left.(which, they left clean).

Scott and Kim provided excellent customer service and quality workmanship throughout the remodeling of my kitchen. Their initial virtual consultation, in-home selection of materials, options and colors, thoughtful suggestions, and detailed cost estimate, helped me select the best design and options for my kitchen. Throughout the project both Scott and Kim were meticulous, prompt, caring and professional.
In addition, they provided me with daily updates. Installation was relatively clean, allowing me to use the kitchen in the mornings and evenings. I now have the perfect kitchen, thanks to Ackley Cabinet!

Our kitchen was completely and beautifuly transformed! Our experience with owners, Scott and Kim Ackley, from beginning to end was positive. Aside from being nice people, they were prompt, effective communicators, dependable, trustworthy, productive, and kept the house safe and clean for a construction project. Where shall I begin. Ackley Cabinet is a fantastic company to deal with and will make your kitchen remodel a great experience. The initial scheduling conversations with Scott's wife Kim were great, good communication throughout. This is not a normal "refacing" company, the work is custom and is performed by highly skilled craftsman Scott. From the first appointment with Scott, we knew he truly cared about the project and took pride in the work that he does.
He learned the skill from his father which is really nice to see. He took the foundational skills and concepts and expanded them to the needs and tastes of the modern homeowner. His knowledge about the process and visualizing what we wanted was comforting. We felt as if we would be in great hands with him doing this work. If you are looking for a custom / professional look in your kitchen without the rip out, then Scott and team is the only option.
The blend of molding and trim and solid wood materials is a look that no other traditional refacer can provide. The price is more than a traditional refacing company though, which is fine considering the quality of product you get is the same as buying new high end custom cabinets. My wife and I are so happy with the results and would highly recommend Ackley Cabinet.

We cannot say enough good things about Scott and Kim. They did such a great job with our kitchen renovation. From from the first time we met with Scott until the end of the project, we appreciated his honesty, professionalism, attention to detail, and of course his skill in cabinetry. They both made the process as smooth as possible and made sure everything was done to perfection.
We could not be happier with the results. This is not cabinet refacing. I encourage you to have Ackley demonstrate their Forefront methodology. You will be impressed. They also create custom cabinets if needed. We were able to convert our peninsula to an island and have custom cabinets created as well. They can do whatever you need to create to kitchen you want. I loved working with Scott and his team! They were clean, on time, meticulous and finished the job earlier than expected. The results speak for themselves! My kitchen went from ugly to beautiful in 5 days! I highly recommend Ackley Cabinets to anyone who wants a kitchen reno.
