It's truly sad that as a member of the BBB we cannot get support when a false negative "review" is posted about us. We've been members for so long, it actually feels like a friend has betrayed us. We thought the BBB was our advocate. Boy did we find out the hard way that they are NOT on our side! Beware businesses--- with all the social trolls online these days posting negative reviews that are completely unfounded, you too could end up falling prey and guess what?

You can expect zero support from your BBB, the group you invest in with your membership dues. Their reviews are no better than Facebook, Yelp, Google, etc, so there's no point in joining or renewing membership. If I could give them zero stars, I would!

Not at all happy with the lack of assistance from our local BBB. 6-14-2021-- Having dealt with the BBB for several decades, we always felt the BBB would be supportive of its members considering our positive track record. However, we now know that social trolls are free to go on your website, post felonious accusations against any of your members and that you will do absolutely nothing to support and back your members.

What we have also learned is that a review on the BBB website is no more credible than a review on Yelp, Facebook, Google, Merchant Circle or any other social media website and what's really sad, we're PAYING MEMBERS of the BBB and we are getting burned! What a waste of our hard-earned investment! The BBB needs to rethink its practices, support its members and understand there are those who post false, untrue "reviews" of their business members!

It's my professional opinion having worked in radio/TV for 35+ years and marketing businesses online via social media for 15+ years, that the BBB would have safeguards in place to protect its members due to the fact now that consumers don't care about ratings, they want to read reviews. False reviews against businesses, namely, YOUR MEMBERS, should be taken seriously by the BBB and you should be proactive in investigating and removing such reviews or, you will find yourselves over time, losing members!

I was considering purchasing life insurance from a little known national company. As I always do with unknown entities, I turned to the BBB to research the firm and get a rating and hopefully an accreditation. It was almost 3:00 P.M. our time when I called. At this location in Dallas that is closing time. The associate answered quickly and professionally rather than ignoring my call and heading home.

I stated my issue and he looked up the company and their rating. He volunteered their world headquarters location as well as how long they had been in business. He thanked me for the call and we concluded the conversation. It's convenient to choose the easy decision. This employee, however, took the extra time to please a consumer. I was searching for a Co. to install a new fence at my home. I got two bids from reliable Companies. 940 Roofing and Construction was the company I chose. Cole Havins was great to explain exactly how his team would do the work. He listen to what I was expecting my new fence to look like. They built it exactly how I wanted! His team of young men were courteous, respectful, and worked real hard not to tear up my plants and yard. Cole and his team were delightful to work with. I would recommend this 940 Roofing & Construction. They also build a beautiful privacy cedar fence.

Once you sign a contract, you get 0, nil, zero customer service. I have made phone calls, left messages, and have had no response. I bought a piece of paper in January, and have been making payments and I have nothing in my home to show for it. After spending over $5000.00. I can't find out anything about where my furniture is or if I am EVER going to see it. DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY!

My spouse and I have been members of the MSU Lifelong Learning classes since the group's inception and are currently zooming in on various subjects through the summer with our group. Last semester Monica Horton was speaker for our class and it was amazing! I was a member of the BBB several years ago and, my, has it changed with so many improvements!

We had a full house during the BBB session and an educational Q & A session afterwards. We can't say enough about this organization, if you want to learn more about this great W. Falls organization please take a peak at their website - THANK YOU MONICA for enlightening us!

How can you trust any numbers when it comes to this BBB. This BBB will shut down cases and won't allow the consumer and business to work things out. In fact I would say this BBB favors businesses over consumers. Thus my trust is broken as I have given relevant evidence that EVEN MY OWN CURRENT LANDLORD says this is not the norm and is completely out of the norm.

But yet this BBB will favor the business and won't give a chance for the consumer to work it out. Fine I know for a fact I have a strong case to take to court, but when my case is blatantly obvious then there is something wrong with the BBB. I also want to note that I have worked with many other BBB regions and never had this reaction happen so fast with this one.

Most other BBB's allow the consumer and the Business to work things out and not just close the case, not this BBB they close case and don't even allow the business or consumer to even talk things out. This company never even contacted me to try and settle things. Thus it doesn't help when the BBB doesn't keep the case open for a rebuttal. Plus when you have other people having the same type of complaint then there IS SOMETHING WRONG.

This is why I DONT TRUST THIS BBB. Edit- I changed my star rating from a 1 to a 4 because after I wrote a post on their Facebook webpage and wrote a review there also. I come to find out that the manager that had closed my case left. I ended up finally getting a hold of a nice lady there, that seemed to really go out of her way to help me. We ended up getting my issue resolved and with a 0 balance. I am very glad that she re-opened up my case and allowed myself and the business to work it out.
